1 Water Street

The apartments all in all ‘looked’ ok. We were up on the third floor and on arrival we saw the elevator was broken. It was a hell of a walk up the stairs, especially when one of our party was heavily pregnant. When it came to getting the sofa beds out, 1 out of the three was broken and bent and would not open. All three mattresses on the sofa beds were stained with what I can only describe as human bodily fluid. They were the thinnest most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. I was like sleeping on a plank of wood. I would not recommend staying here if your looking for a comfy bed and a relaxing stay. The apartments were pretty clean, But the beds were very disappointing and I would never book to stay here again.

Although the apartment is in a great location and is spacious we were very disappointed with the lack of seating, utensils, hot water for showers etc. Having sent an email to istay, who manage the apartment, I had not had a response after 7 days and phoned the office. The person I spoke to was not prepared to acknowledge the issues raised and simply hung up on me! There was just a 2 seater sofa in the lounge which was insufficient seating and very disappointing considering the apartment could accommodate up to 6 people. 2. There was a lack of basic utensils in the kitchen area i.e. bread knife, sharp vegetable knife, vegetable peeler, scissors, cloth to wipe surfaces and tea towel. 3. There was insufficient hot water which ran out after 2 people had showers and the 3rd person had to wait 2 hours before it was hot enough for a shower. 4. There was no holder for toilet paper in the bathroom resulting in the rolls having to either be placed on the floor or just next to the sink resulting in getting wet from the running taps. 5. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom which is essential as there is no window and therefore no ventilation. 6. Electrical sockets in the bedrooms were either behind the wardrobe or bed head therefore making them extremely difficult to access to plug in phone charger etc. 7. There are no mirrors in either bedroom. 8. The TV in the lounge is positioned very high up on the wall making it uncomfortable watching it whilst sat on the sofa. 9. There were just 2 bar stools which made sitting at the breakfast bar impossible for 3 people. 10. No hooks throughout the apartment to hang coats, towels etc. 11. The stairs leading up to the apartment had a metal protective plate missing which made using the stairs very dangerous.
