When traveling, I am used to chain five-star hotels. I have never booked a homestay before, so I am inevitably nervous. At first, I did not have a clear destination when planning my trip to Guizhou. I was very moved when I saw this castle in the sky by accident, so I decided to go to Dong Village. I can only say that what you see is what you get. What I must evaluate is the service, which exceeded my expectations. As soon as Ctrip was booked, a housekeeper added WeChat and continued to track and inform me of the weather and the May Day activities in the village for half a month before the holiday. Because I arrived in Congyang early in the morning from the Guiyang high-speed rail, the housekeeper arranged a car to pick me up, and the driver was also very considerate. The locals were simple and honest. While waiting for the room in the lobby, juice and coffee were available, and all the staff were enthusiastic and meticulous. The homestay is the best location in the central area of Dong Village, quiet in the bustling city. The two of us booked the 520 castle in the sky that we saw at first sight. It occupies the best viewing position, overlooking the mountains, and feeling relaxed and happy. The room is clean, comfortable, and smart, which should be the top configuration in Dong Village. Yaoyu in the evening, rice noodles for breakfast, considerate greetings, I feel that the management team has a positive and upward career enthusiasm, which makes me and my teammates quite unforgettable. What I want to say is that now all kinds of homestays are springing up like mushrooms after rain. In addition to hardware, the software can also impress people's hearts. Thank you for the wonderful May Day brought by Sky Castle, and I look forward to coming again next time.

GGuest UserGreat B&B. They added WeChat in advance to introduce the pick-up service. After we arrived, there were brothers and sisters to help with the luggage. Although the B&B is located at the end of the village, it is not far to walk. It also has the advantage of being at the end of the village, that is, it is very quiet at night and very close to the bus stop to Tang'an Terraces. The facilities, hygiene and breakfast of the B&B are very good. The scenery outside the window is beautiful. There is a large farmland outside the window. The children are very happy playing in the field. Overall, it is a very good experience.

GGuest UserThe location of the B&B is very good, the facilities are clean and complete, and there is a projector and a small refrigerator inside. I chose this place mainly for the scenery. The view of the countryside outside the window is very good, and you can have breakfast by the field in the morning. The service of the boss and the boss lady is also very good. After arriving at the entrance of the village, the boss will drive to pick you up. There were not many people on the day of check-in, and I was upgraded to a deluxe room. Overall, the experience of staying here is still very good.

JJojoleinThe room was large with everything needed. WiFi was poor. No breakfast provided but there are plenty of options nearby. The hotel is located opposite to the entrance gates, which is far when one has a big bag to carry! The staff nevertheless came to pick me up for free by motorbike. The hotel similarly provided on my way out , free shuttle to the high speed train station as my train was early and there were no official transport options. This was so kind. The hotel finally called me one afternoon when some old ethnic ladies paid a visit to the hotel. They chanted and were honoured. It was sweet that the hotel thought to call me to be part of it.

--zhangyuxiaowanzi-The large panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the room are super large, and the stay will not be very depressing. The overall design is also combined with local characteristics and simple style.
The sanitation is very clean, and the bedding is very comfortable to use. The curtains and toilets are smart, and they are also equipped with projectors, which is very convenient for overall use~
The boss provides free pick-up and drop-off service, and will send us the guides and programs of Dongzhai, which is convenient for us to plan and arrange. After arriving, we will help us carry our luggage to the room, which is really meticulous.
ps: The boss's sour soup beef and fragrant pork are also super delicious, and the peppers are particularly fragrant! The portion is full, and 3 people have not finished eating! After eating, we also sent us to the scenic spot, the service leverage!

AAnonymous UserBasic room, small bathroom with a tiny sink. The room only has eco-friendly paper towels. There is hot water available. One thing that bothered me was that the heater takes around 24 hours to heat up the room. If you only stay one night here in winter expect it to be a cold one. I found the bed sheets also to be too short for people taller than 1.80m.
Besides the room being average the service provided is far above average. The host made sure I reached the hotel safely and picked me up from the bus stop.

JJamesHarrisMy friend and I stayed here for one night and, whilst overall our stay was fine, I did feel some things were lacking. The room was large, with plenty of space, but the bathroom was tiny. The windows were entirely frosted which meant there was no view of the outside, which made the room feel rather claustrophobic. But BY FAR the biggest problem for me was the air conditioning. It was on constantly, at the lowest setting, but the room never cooled down throughout our stay. It wasn’t particularly hot at the end of August but with the lack of windows that opened, and high humidity, it made the room feel very stuffy and affected my sleep. The temperature of the room is an important factor for me and I wouldn’t stay here again without knowing beforehand that the AC was working as it should.

- I found a big spider the size of a hand in my room (but to be honest: I don't blame the owners for that because the spider could just come from the window, so it's not their fault)
- the staff doesn't speak English
Pros:
- It is the cheapest hotel with license to give an accommodation for foreigners in Zhaoxing.
- The receptionist came to my room immediately after my call in his free time and killed that spider I was talking about above. He is my hero! :)
- Apart of stained towels and bed linen the room was cleaner than other rooms in other hostels I stayed in China.
- The hotel has a good location just next to the town's gate.
- I have got a bottle of water for free and all toiletries.

GGuest UserThe most important thing when choosing a place to stay is that the room is quiet and clean, and the most important thing is that it is close enough to delicious food and fun. This B&B fits the bill perfectly. It is very close to the delicious food nearby. Just turn left or right when you go out and walk to the nearby delicious restaurants such as Liao Fatty and Dong Pinfang. It’s also very close to fun things. Turn right out of the village to take pictures. The green rice fields and distant mountains form a perfect background. Turn left for 3 minutes to reach the wonderful bonfire party in Dong Village. The boss is also very nice and responds in a timely manner. Recommended recommended.

AAnonymous UserIt was not bad when I checked in. At first glance, I felt that it was not bad, it was an old house. The problem came when I went up the stairs. The carpet should be tattered and dirty as if it hadn't been cleaned. The first sight of entering the room is okay, close the window and turn on the air conditioner, and found that the window and the surrounding area are full of spider webs and insects. Pull the curtains, suddenly a spider 🕷️ that has been slapping the size of a palm jumped onto the bed, it scared me! Immediately ask the front desk to arrange a replacement. The lady at the front desk is okay, but the cleaning lady waited for half an hour and didn't come to change it! There is a chandelier with cobwebs on the top of the bed, I was afraid it would fall... I didn't know there was a bar nearby when I ordered it, and the singing kept ringing all night. Couldn't sleep at all this night. Thinking about returning the next day, let’s just pass by in one night... I will definitely not come again next time! !
Facilities: average, the TV cannot be watched, and the batteries of the remote control are moldy. When the air conditioner is turned on, it will spray water.
Hygiene: the floor is dusty, with insects and cobwebs.
Environment: Surrounded by bars, it is still very lively at 12 o'clock in the evening, singing is flying all over the sky.
Service: The weather was too hot and there were too many luggages, so we couldn't pick them up. Need to wait 40-50 minutes. Just let me go by myself!

GGuest UserEnvironment: As a traveler who escapes from the city for a short time and comes here to breathe oxygen, the appearance of the B&B building and the floor-to-ceiling scenery outside the window meet the visual needs of the inside and outside. Many tourists come to the B&B to check in the building, proving that the aesthetics satisfy most people. However, the location is far from the village gate. If you check in with a suitcase, you may need to spend some effort.
Facilities: The owner of the B&B graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. There are clothing and ceramic works for sale in a separate space, which is also an option for shopping.
Service: Breakfast self-service is provided, which is a plus point among B&Bs of the same price. After all, there was no price increase during the May Day holiday, while other prices doubled.
