Great stay, lovely staff and the food was great, hotel not in a great area but it didn't hamper our stay, as we just wanted to enjoy the pool and the hotel in general, the staff were so nice and welcoming, prices aren't to bad either, breakfast was lovely with plenty available both hot and cold

Parking in hotel is fijn. Ligt ver buiten centrum, dus heb je auto wel telkens nodig. Perfect gelegen als uitvalsbasis voor trip naar bijvoorbeeld Cork, Galway,…

The location for this hotel is ok, though there is not much to do nearby. The train takes you into Limerick town where there are more things to do and see. The foyer is decorated fairly nice and presentable however there was only one lift working properly. The staff at reception were rude and condescending. I got the feeling that they were not keen on tourists. When we got to our room, this was pleasant. The bed was big and comfortable and the shower was hot though they did not clean our room throughout our stay which was disappointing. The pool here was ok, nothing to rave about and there were rules which were not listed on the booking nor until you were down there ready to swim. Make sure you take a euro with you are you have to pay for the locker. Shower caps have to be worn in the pool but not the jacuzzi or sauna. The jacuzzi was nice. Don’t forget flip flops as they do not like you walking barefoot. Do not bother with the breakfast. It is over priced for what you get and there is a cafe 5 minutes away that is much more superior. Overall it is an alright hotel, serves a purpose and probably better for business stays not couples trip away.

Stayed here for a concert at their local stadium. Great location, lovely pool to relax! Breakfast was gorgeous, so much to choose from! Would highly recommend. Had one hiccup with the room. However, the staff rectified immediately. Great hotel.

Myself and my family stayed with the Maldron in Limerick on a recent visit to the city. We left over €300 for the privilege. We were met with a number 2 left in the toilet, receptionist pretty shrugged her shoulders. We are itching since our stay and cot was disgusting

Arrived to the Maldron Limerick after a long day of travel to be told that I wasn't allowed to enter my hotel room until payment was made. Firstly, any hotel I've ever been in has asked for payment on departure. Secondly, this was a booking made by a work colleague and her card had been put down on the reservation. I ended up having to wait over an hour for my colleague to arrive to gain access to my room. Not so much as offered a glass of water as I waited. Sitting on hard chairs in the lobby. We paid over €300 for two nights of accommodation. I was exhausted. Staff showed no interest in providing any kind of welcome or support. In fact it seemed as though the young woman working on Wednesday 26 June afternoon quite enjoyed telling me about hotel policy and refusing my entrance to the room. The way I was spoken to was snooty, suspicious and unhelpful. Many thanks however to the staff in the hotel restaurant who were accommodating and friendly when my colleague and I ate dinner. Note: I would have preferred not to eat in the hotel after my poor experience but there aren't many other options in the vicinity. Rooms were fine - clean and with good showers. However the behaviour and rigidity of the reception staff means I won't be back and nor will the organisation I work for stay here again.

One of the duty managers was quite rude to me and a friend. He then made the rookie mistake of saying "I'm sorry you were upset". The apology you have when you don't have an apology. When we complained to other duty managers about his attitude, they apologised but indicated this wasn't the first time. The hotel is quite a way out of town, but fairly comfortable. The food is OK.

We were greeted by a very welcoming reception team, room was lovely (having a bit of trouble flushing the toilet but the duty manager gave us another room immediately). Sarah the restaurant manager is also very professional welcomed us with a lovely smile. All the staffs are professional, nothing is too much trouble for them, one of my favourite hotel I have ever stayed in. Well done Maldron Team!

Good afternoon,  My husband booked a room from the 8 to the 12 May. I joined him on the 11th. He also booked a room for our son from the 10 to the 12. 1 - When my husband arrived on Wednesday afternoon, he was told he didn't have a booking. He was asked to provide them with a copy of the exchange of emails with the hotel. Initially he struggled with not having internet and when he got WiFi he did this. The hotel had no records of this exchange of emails. This is completely unacceptable. Other hotels were even searched for him.  Eventually, after a good hour, a room was found for him at this same hotel. This caused my husband significant distress. We came to Ireland because his aunt passed away.  The attitude of the Supervisor was unacceptable. She was blunt, abrupt, terse and extremely unpleasant upon my husband's arrival. No effort was made to offer compensation and no apology was given by the Supervisor. 2 - There is no air conditioning in both  rooms. These applies to both rooms. They are stuffy and this issue wasn't helped by 22 degrees centigrade on Saturday 11. There's no air flow in the rooms. No extractor fan in the toilet. It is unbearable.  3 - I tried the steam room in the spa this morning. I sat to the right as we go in. I stayed no more than 1 minute. During that time I've felt scalded on my toes, my left foot and my left arm. I spoke about this with  someone that was outside and he said there is a flow of unregulated temperature that comes from the floor area on that side of the steam room. That he always avoids it. Well...I certainly didn't know and ended with a burnt foot that feels very uncomfortable while walking. 4 - My son's room no. 308 had an intermittent shower. It didn't work for 5 minutes today, no matter what he did. Then it came on. Yesterday, he was having a shower and the pressure dropped and the water flow stopped. Just like that.  5 - My son was given room 209 when he first arrived. When he went in, the smell of cigarettes was unbearable. It wasn't safe for him to be there and sleep in there. Our expectation would be that that room would need to be made not available until suitable. He had to come to Reception and complain and room 308 was then given to him.  My husband paid €853 for our room and he paid €446 for our son's room. These are absolutely outrageous amounts of money for the accommodation offered. All of the above is completely unacceptable for the prices they charge.
