Aeolian Gaea Hotel

We loved our stay at Aeolian Gaea! We have visited Skala Kalloni many times but have always stayed elsewhere. We chose Aeolian Gaea this time because we were travelling with our four-year-old and thought it was more suitable for her. We were not disappointed! This is a wonderful family-run hotel that made us feel really welcome. The hotel is lovely, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The pools are lovely - the baby pool was perfect for our four-year old to play in and practice swimming, while the big pool is big enough for a proper swim. We really appreciated the fact that one row of sunbeds is under a wooden shade which meant we could easily stay in the shade when not in the pool, especially important with a small person. The breakfasts were amazing with lots of homemade specialities including loukoumades - yum! The breakfast buffet was also completely free of flies which has not been our experience elsewhere! The food on offer for lunches was delicious and fresh. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, and were so lovely with our daughter. We really appreciated barmaid Penelope's tolerance for us spreading out in the bar/restaurant during the day with painting and other activities! The only things that would have made our stay better would have been if there was food on offer in the evening (just because this would have given us more flexibility with a small child) and if the pool had been open earlier and later to allow for more time in it when it was not too hot (it got up to 40 degrees while were were there so we stayed out of the sun in the middle of the day). However these small limitations reflect the fact that it is a genuine family hotel with much of the work being done by the family. Would highly recommend and would definitely return!

Splendid location, close to the sea, very friendly staff, good accommodation conditions with large rooms, tranquility and a rich breakfast.

We had another great holiday in the Aeolian Gaea Hotel. A huge very comfortable room was waiting for us upon arrival, with a very warm welcome from George and his staff. Most of the sunbeds around the pool have been upgraded and have large comfortable pads on them and there were more than last year. Always empty sunbeds throughout the day. Pool was spotlessly clean as usual and was a great relief to the very hot sun. We ate several lunches at the hotel. All were delicious, fairly priced and huge portions. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 14 days passed very quickly yet again making us wish we could stay longer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet, comfortable, relaxing holiday., with a short 15 minute stroll into town. Thank you again to George and family for a nice stay.

Stayed for 10 nights, and went with Jet2. Absolutely lovely! This is a small, quiet family run hotel, with nice rooms and a first class pool. Everything works, and the staff are quietly efficient and friendly. Breakfast is more than adequate, but don't expect smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. A 10 minute walk (no hills!) Will get you to the centre of the village/harbour where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The best is the Caprice, in our opinion. REALLY cannot reccomend this hotel enough if it's a quiet stress free few days. Many thanks to the, George.
