We entered into a contract with Seven Hills to rent the entire inn for our guests to stay the weekend of our wedding in October. We were required to put down a 50% deposit which was equal to over $20k, and were told that as long as we booked >80% of their rooms, we would receive the full deposit back following the weekend (we booked 53/57 rooms). IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS SINCE AND WE HAVE RECEIVED NO MONEY BACK, AND THE MANAGEMENT IS NOT RESPONDING TO OUR EMAILS. Immediately after the weekend we asked for an invoice detailing what our refunded deposit would be. We knew that our bridal suite rate would be deduced, as well as the fees for a brunch we hosted on site Sunday (event fee, alcohol & bartending fee which totaled ~$7k), and alcohol we purchased for our guests to drink after the wedding, but the invoice we received included an additional $8k worth of fees that we were never told about ahead of time and did not agree to. When we attempted to dispute the charges, the manager stopped responding and we are now over two months past the event with no idea when or if we’ll ever receive our deposit back. BE CAREFUL before choosing Seven Hills, and if you do, prepare to be cheated out of thousands of dollars!!!

This place is an old ‘estate’ cottage/home that is now an inn with motel added. The staff are excellent and give guests a wonderful history of the home during the delicious breakfast. Lots of delightful stories about the owners over the years and the many well known musician guests who stayed at this inn during the Tanglewood musical festival. It definitely is a little tired and needs some TLC but the history and staff make up for it!!

This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. I'm ok with a cheap hotel, but this reservation was not cheap. I was there for a wedding and the negotiated rate was $385/night. I should have known something was up when no one ever answered the phone during the reservation process and I had to always leave messages. Even when I left a specific question on the voicemail, the return call I got did not address it. If you arrive late, there is no one to check you in. You are instructed to fill out a piece of paper left on a table in the front with the provided pens, but of course there is no pen. The worst is the rooms: the room stank of mildew and mold, the paint was peeling off the ceiling of the shower, there was hair in the shower, and the floor of the bathroom was covered in black and red mold. I wish I had brought shower shoes. The door would not lock, despite my best efforts and those of several people I recruited as they walked past my room. At least I had hot water, not something everyone in my party got to enjoy. Two other family members had rooms without hot water. If you call the front desk to tell them this, no one picks up, and you are instructed to send an email for "emergencies." This is in addition to the toilet paper holders falling off the wall, and an alarm that went off at 5 am. The walls are paper thin, there is no carpeting in the rooms, but the motel-like walkways outside are full of soggy carpet, so your room ends up full of mud and dirt. You need to walk around with socks on, which are black by the time you leave. I feel bad for the bride and groom who chose this hotel for their wedding guests, as I think they were pretty embarrassed by

Beautiful grounds and elegant central building. The guest rooms in the annex are satisfactory but not what you would expect after viewing the photos online. The continental breakfast was like that served in low-end chain hotels. They have ample food and coffee and a beautiful view of the rear grounds. Convenient location and very close to historic downtown Lenox.

We stayed at Seven Hills Inn for four nights. The location is really good for exploring the Berkshires. The best place to start is right next door with "The Mount". Breakfast was great, staff friendly. The room at the "Terrace House" was functional. Three aspects bothered us. The bedding was not perfectly clean. Housekeeping was supposed to come after the second night but did not. In fact, we were most disappointed that the pool was out of service. Neither at the time of booking nor now is there any indication of this. On the contrary, the pool is still advertised on the website to this day. For us, the pool was a reason to choose this accommodation. In this respect, we felt a bit fooled when we got the casual information at check-in: There is not a pool.

Stayed on second floor of “Cariage House”. Room looked nothing like the picture…much smaller. Chips all over door, frames, baseboards. Entrance to room, stairs going up. should be completely redone as not taken care of, grounds not kept up at all, actually pretty shabby. When checked in we were welcomed with all the things we could not do and she was as very unfriendly…probably doesnt like her job. This inn could be something great and you would get the rates you charge, but needs a full reno and upgrade. We will not be back, in fact we left early from our stay….oh yes bathroom shower ridiculous….had to stand in one area as could not move because of drop ceiling…and tub very slick to stand in, towels as thin as paper. We actually left early as this inn is not what it says it is….or looks like.

We were so incredibly disappointed in this property. I had stayed here 30 years ago and was looking forward to two nights in the main part of the inn. I booked my stay through the hotel and had the following experience: 1) Front desk: The front desk staff was unfriendly and actually quite rude. I won't go into all the details but this was horrendous experience. I completely understand that it is difficult to find people who want to do this type of work and that it is very difficult work to try and please people all day long. But.....she is obviously not the right person for this job. 2) Musty smelling room: When we entered our room it was VERY musty smelling. When I immediately brought this to the attention of the rude front desk attendant (we had not even brought our bags to the room), she stated that ALL their rooms smelled that way. She offered to spray the room, which DID take away the smell temporarily, but was obviously only covering up a much bigger problem. I believe the bathroom fan is not venting properly which is causing the smell. I was told there were not other rooms available and that I would not be refunded the first night's stay. At that hour I was not willing to try and find other accommodations and I wanted to see if we could tolerate the situation. Because I believed this to be an unhealthy environment, we checked out after one night. In my 40 years of traveling in accommodations all over the world I have never needed to check out of room due to an unhealthy situation- or actually for ANY reason. 3) Pool was closed. 4) Inn needs MAJOR painting and updates. 5) At breakfast the hot water dispenser had brown water. Another hot water dispenser (near the oatmeal) was not even remotely hot. The lack of fresh paint, pool closure etc can be overlooked and when I brought these things to their attention, she tried to solve the problem....however with a major attitude.

I have never stayed at a more misrepresented hotel, and I travel often for work. The photos make it look like your staying in a mansion, but it's basically a $300 per night motel off to the side of the image shown online. The pool was closed for the season, which was not reflected on the website. The room was extremely musty and the inside of refrigerator was filled with water. There were several less expensive and more dependable options in the area than this.

We stayed in one of the Terrace Rooms and it was not at all what we expected. Clearly they are trying to upgrade to trendy but it doesn't quite make the grade. Bathroom is tiny and still not very nice. Flooring isn't nice. Bedding is not soft. Clean enough. Breakfast is not worth it. Ate yogurt from a cup each day. People's trash was all over the lawn and my husband cleaned it up as clearly nobody else was doing it. There is not anyone at the front desk after 7 according to the information sheet but when I tried to talk to someone around 5:30 they were already gone for the day. The location was fine as we had our car but we are coming back to the Berkshires later in the summer and already chose a different place. Hoping it will be better. Can not imagine it won't be.
