Guter, preiswerter und Aufenthalt!
Der Aufenthalt war genauso, wie beschrieben! Ich hatte ein EZ, es war zwar etwas klein, aber voll zweckmäßig und preiswert.
Die Betreuung durch die Verwaltung und der Service waren excellent, gut durchorganisiert und äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich - alles in allem sehr zufrieden - danke für die nette Betreuung!

Ruhige, saubere Unterkunft. Wir brauchten das Zimmer mit den zwei Einzelbetten nur als "Nachtlager", da wir Mithelfende bei einem Umzug waren. Klimatisiertes Zimmer, gut ! Der Abfluss des Handwaschbeckens funktioniert zwar, bedarf aber einer kleinen Nachreparatur, da das Wasser sehr langsam ablief. Das Gemeinschaftsbad/Dusche ist sauber und bequem; der Duschvorhang ist aber in dieser Form etwas "unfreundlich, da er sich schnell wie eine zweite Haut "an-" bzw. "auflegt". Was man zusätzlich benötigt, bekommt man innerhalb maximal zehn Minuten Fußweg. Guter Deal: bei Schäfer's (Dresdnerstraße; übrigens ein 1a Standort für sehr gutes Frühstück und Backwaren) gibt es ein zweites Heißgetränk "for free", wenn man im Campus-Hotel nächtigt. Vorteilhaft: man kann einen Parkplatz mieten (in der Gegend ist Parkraum sehr knapp bzw. mit längerem Fußweg verbunden). Die Philosophie des Hauses (Nachhaltigkeit, Umweltverträglichkeit etc.) unterstützt man gerne, auch die der Schule. Check-in nur von 16-19 Uhr möglich; beim Umzug mussten wir daher einen Umweg nur fürs Einchecken "einbauen" (wären lieber ohne Umweg dann nach 20 Uhr erst zum Space Hotel gekommen). An der Rezeption verhielt man sich etwas spröde und humorlos; kann man verschmerzen. Bewertung wegen der nur kleinen (beseitigbaren !) "Mängel" doch noch mit 4 Punkten.

Immer wieder sehr beeindruckend, was Hotel und Institut bieten und wie sie sich weiterentwickeln. Hier wird gearbeitet: An der Zukunft der Menschheit im Weltall und auch am Hotel. Viele Zimmer und Bäder sind jetzt nochmals modernisiert worden, ich hatte TV, Internet, Kühlschrank, Waschbecken und ein bequemes Bett. Der Großstadtlärm blieb dank moderner Fenster draußen und die Temperatur stellte ich mir selbst passend ein. Mit den elektronischen Schlössern ist der Zugang überall sehr einfach. Viele Parkplätze haben eine Ladestation, mein Auto konnte ich daher problemlos laden. Versorgen und Einkaufen um die Ecke, wie auch die Straßenbahn. So war für alle Basics und guten Schlaf gesorgt. Weil es ein Schul-Hotel ist, stehen hier Regeln etwas mehr im Vordergrund, als man es vielleicht gewohnt ist. Doch wer bereit ist, die Schilder zu beachten, kann es sich hier gutgehen lassen. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt mit Begeisterung genossen. Die Betreiber des Instituts führen das Hotel mit hohem persönlichem Engagement und überall in dem charmanten Altbau begegnet mir neuste Technik, die beständig verfeinert wird. Gern erzählten mir Ralf, Yvonne und die Schülerin Cosma von den Kursen für Jugendliche, die hier lebensgroße Moon-Rover, Funktionsmodelle von Raketen und vieles andere bauen und gern habe ich mich staunend durch Werkstätten, CAD-Labor und Öko-Energiezentrale führen lassen. Zur besonderen Motivation der Schüler nimmt das Institut mit den Teams aus Leipzig und anderen internationalen Standorten an der NASA Rover Challenge (HERC) in den USA teil, eine einmalige Erfahrung für die Schüler. Neuerdings werden für alle Raumfahrt-Interessierten Reisen zu SpaceX-Raketenstarts angeboten und mein Herz schreit: Ich bin dabei! Also - schnell wird das Schlafen hier zur Nebensache. Tonnen von Inspiration, der Spirit von Elon Musk und des Gründers Jesco von Puttkamer von der NASA sind hier greifbar. Nicht wenige Lebenswege haben sich durch einen Aufenthalt hier nachhaltig verändert, meiner gehört dazu.

Their web advertisement is materially incomplete. After you have booked and paid, they then send you a 1.5 page complex Message of Check In Instructions. This makes it mandatory to use Contactless Check In via a Phone and App. It's illegal to add mandatory conditions after you have paid! Then, even though you have paid for the room in advance, they impose a $150 euro "Reservation Hold" on your Card. They then do not cancel it and say "Contact your Bank". The Staff are rude and say anything to avoid taking responsibility. DO NOT STAY HERE they are a rip off!
