First, we arrived at the hotel address listed on Ctrip at around 8pm. As a result, we walked around a lot and couldn’t find the front desk. Later, we contacted Ctrip and found out that this was an apartment with contactless check-in (if it was this kind of apartment, I would usually book it directly on Airbnb. I don’t know why Ctrip also has it). Then we began our exciting check-in process: first, you have to communicate with the merchant by phone, and then they will send you a check-in instruction with a lot of information. The address given by the merchant and the hotel address registered on Ctrip were about 600 meters apart. After we dragged 4 large suitcases to the destination with difficulty, we relied on The first code unlocked the door, then we followed the map to the key box. The second code retrieved the key. After two attempts to get four suitcases into the tiny elevator, we made it to the fourth floor, only to find the wrong room number. Then, looking at the landlord's PDF, we realized we'd traveled all that way just to get the key. We needed to return to another address (not the one we'd registered on Ctrip) to find our room, a distance of 500 to 600 meters. Then, we had to drag four large suitcases back, stumbling and bumping along the bumpy, stone path. Wasn't that thrilling? After another sweaty, two more elevators, we finally got to our room. It was past 10 p.m. and we collapsed on the bed. Treasure hunts are even more fun than this. It was truly speechless. Lugging so much luggage back and forth in a foreign country made me seriously doubt Ctrip's control over the accommodation providers on its platform. I don't want your 200 yuan subsidy. Please remove this apartment from your hotel listings. Stop misleading consumers!!! The funniest thing is that when you check out, you have to return your keys to where you got them. It's completely ridiculous. I have no complaints about the apartment itself; it was clean and the facilities were all good.
