The family room we stayed was completely run down and in desperate need of some refurbishment. There was mould in the bathroom, extractor fan was not functional, and the worse were the beds. We could feel the bed springs.I have stayed in Premier Inn at many places and they all lived up to the standards. The breakfast was very good tho.

Room was decent size and to standard I would expect from a premier inn. Breakfast had great selection available. I would stay here again. If I had to find a flaw the sides of the bed next to the wall had a few bits on the floor. Staff all friendly and helpful.

We came to have breakfast to celebrate our little boy’s birthday , Donna and the team made our visit so special starting with Donna singing Happy Birthday as we walked in to us being led to our table where we were greeted by Maddi and to our surprise our table was decorated with birthday banners, Maddi was on hand throughout and made us feel like nothing was to much trouble, thank you all for making our morning so special for our birthday boy.

We’ve used this hotel several times to visit family. On this occasion we felt that it was looking very tired throughout the main areas and the bedrooms. Carpets visibly dirty and very dusty around the edges. The bathrooms were tired, black mould in the grout in the showers, smelt damp. Nowhere to hang your towels, no towel rail but also no hooks on the back of the door. ( there was evidence of old hooks) the staff were happy to give us fresh towels each day but obviously this isn’t very environmentally friendly. Paint work throughout beaten up and whole place looks like it needs a refurbishment. I had telephoned the previous day to make sure our rooms were together and was assured they were but on arrival they were separated by a stair well and 2 fire doors so although the numbers were 154 and 155 they weren’t near each other. Each time we went back to the rooms our keys did not work, we had to go back to reception and get them sorted. We had made sure they weren’t next to phones or car keys to be deactivated. The positive aspects about this hotel are easy parking and the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was plentiful.

Sadly visit was marred by the need return to reception on three different occasions to have the room key reprogrammed. Restaurant was closed on Sunday nights with advance notice. Net curtains torn and not overly clean, windows need cleaning. After complaining to customer services found out hotel is closing for good in May 2025. Shame the company are treating it like it already has!

Our Accessible Room was cancelled 24 hours before check in due to a ‘technical problem’ and we had to have a ‘robust discussion’ with the Receptionist and Manager to sort the best worst option out. The Hotel is tatty, tired and there were other guests queueing to complain about their rooms. Our room was very cold and we had problems getting the heating working. We were offered a complimentary drink and asked for a Brandy and a Baileys, only to be told the Hotel had neither, despite there being two bottles of Baileys sitting on the shelf. The Manager told us that the Hotel is being demolished in May and the Staff are being made redundant. Worst experience and tattiest Premier Inn we’ve ever stayed at.

Very disappointed with with this hotel, not up to the Premier Inn brand. Room very tired, poor state of decor, bath room very grubby, dirty grout, old wooden bath panel, looks like it's not been maintained very well. A car was broken into whilst parked in the car park overnight, 2 separate visits from police during the night. Under staffed for size of hotel, staff having flit between reception and dining room to serve drinks at the bar. Advertising 4 cocktails, only 1 available. Avoid this hotel, be worth spending a little bit extra for a much better experience, room & service. Definitely won't be staying there again!!!
