Homewood Suites by Hilton Leesburg

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. We made the unfortunate decision to reserve a block of rooms at Homewood Suites in Leesburg, for our son’s wedding. Big mistake. From the very first in-person interaction, we were treated with disrespect, indifference and sheer rudeness. We had delivered “welcome bags” for our guests staying at the hotel; the hotel had a list of everyone’s names in order to provide each guest with a bag. A number of our guests shared with us that they were refused gifts!! My cousin- 8 months pregnant- whose name was first on the list- was REFUSED a gift bag!! Even more importantly and concerning was the attitude of hotel staff, but in particular, Shaunna, director of sales and marketing. Not sure how she managed to get that position, but on the most exciting and important day of our lives, she could have single handedly ruined it if I let her. Shame on her. I think it’s because I asked her if my guests could receive a bottle of water upon their arrival. If you are considering booking this hotel for an out of town function, do yourself a favor and think again. (Btw, our guests at Landsdowne resort were treated like royalty- as guests should be!) Thanks for nothing Shaunna! And hmm, hmm, right back at ya!

Booked room for 4 nights but checked out after 1 night. Room smelled horrible and unclean and the WiFi did not work at all This was the site of a work conference so one should be able to expect more especially from a Hilton property. The staff needs to anticipate for these events.

My company has a corporate rate at the hotel. It’s convenient to downtown Leesburg and my office. It’s a suite hotel, there are no dining options. They offer a breakfast in the morning. There is a small market area in the lobby. The room was fine. I had a king bed, bedside tables and a desk. The kitchen is furnished with plates, glasses, pans, etc. There was a small dining table, a pull out sofa bed and a dresser. The TV was on the dresser and rotated so it could be viewed from the sofa or bed. While a Hilton property, the digital key isn’t available, the doors use a sliding key. The hotel needs a refresh. The elevator sounded like it was straining. The rooms just felt dated. My company has rates at other properties in the area, I’d try them before going back to this hotel.

Beware Beware Beware We returned to this property at 10:40 pm on a Saturday to absolutely no parking because their manager allowed semi truck to park taking 10 parking spaces, when they knew they already had 3 wedding blocks booked. Said they could do nothing about it, They said new manager authorized it; new manager only with them about a month, so perhaps better managed in past. Beware, beware, beware booking your wedding guests here because you’re pretty well sunk coming “home” in pouring rain to nowhere to put your car. Co-located Hampton Inn lot also completely jammed. As a “silver” member, I always try to choose Hilton properties but severely disappointed by apathy/unwillingness to problem solve by staff. Said we were not the only guests to complain about situation and that we should talk to manager “in the morning.” Umm, I don’t need parking in the morning, when I’m checking out, I need it now?! Hotel seemed otherwise nice enough but sadly, don’t choose if you have a car.

Came to Leesburg for a family wedding. Hotel was convenient for both walking to some stores and restaurants, and an easy drive to get to downtown. Comfortable room with plenty of space. Needs better lighting at the vanity, and it’s open to the room, so not a preferred set-up. Was fine for an individual. Overall I had no complaints

We stayed at this hotel to attend a local wedding. The hotel was very clean. It was also very quiet on a Saturday night, which we were thankful for! Rooms have full sized refrigerators and mini kitchens. All the rooms have a front living room and a bedroom behind it, so you don't hear noise in the hallways.

I rarely stay at a Hilton branded hotel and have never stayed at a Homewood Suites. In fact, I almost didn't book this reservation because the last Hilton hotel I stayed at was dirty and missed the mark on every level. But boy am I glad that I took the chance on this hotel! First of all, it is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in, in quite some time. It sparkled! I'm a clean freak so I really appreciated how clean it was. Also, even though the hotel was almost completely booked, it was quiet! No noise to keep me up came through the walls and I know there was someone in the room next to me. I appreciated the elevators at the front and back of the hotel which made my life easier no matter which way I was coming from. The outdoor area was clean, tidy, and the cushions on the chairs at the fire pit were quite comfortable. In fact, it was a nice 70 degree breezy day so I went and sat outside and had a rare moment of relaxation in my day. The hotel is dog friendly, probably because it is smack in the middle of the Life Centre veterinary locations on Fort Evans. Almost every dog friendly hotel I stay in is dirty, has urine stains on the floor, etc but this one did not. So kudos to the housekeeping staff! It's location is very convenient to the Life Centre ER which is where my pup was for this stay. And since I was literally two buildings away, I was able to go visit her which made her and me feel better! There are wonderful DoorDash options for this hotel, a gas station at the end of the road, and tons of shopping about five minutes away. My only regret is that I never took a chance on this hotel sooner.
