Soggiorno disastroso – Evitatelo! Abbiamo prenotato questo B&B attirati dalla posizione centrale, ma purtroppo è stata l’unica nota positiva del nostro soggiorno. Appena entrati nella stanza, siamo stati accolti da un odore di umidità e muffa insopportabile. Le pareti erano rovinate, con vernice che si staccava e macchie di muffa evidenti. L’aria era pesante e poco salubre, senza possibilità di ricambio, visto che le finestre erano alte e non si aprivano. Il bagno era un incubo: minuscolo, con piastrelle crepate e incrostazioni ovunque. La doccia era mal ridotta e addirittura tenuta insieme con nastro adesivo! L’acqua ristagnava e il lavandino era quasi inutilizzabile. La pulizia era inesistente. Polvere ovunque, lenzuola umide e maleodoranti, e, come se non bastasse, abbiamo trovato piccoli vermi lungo le pareti del bagno! Quando abbiamo fatto presente il problema alla gestione, ci è stato detto che era una cosa “normale” per un edificio storico. Abbiamo resistito una sola notte, poi siamo scappati via cercando un’altra sistemazione. Anche la colazione, servita in un bar a 300 metri, era scarsa e di bassa qualità, con pochissima scelta per chi non mangia dolci. In sintesi, un’esperienza pessima sotto ogni punto di vista. Se state pensando di prenotare qui, vi consigliamo vivamente di cercare altrove!

Decent stay in Lecce
Room was ok, looks cute but felt and smelled very humid which was quite annoying. Maybe the other Rooms are better.
Host was nice and very helpful.
Breakfast was taken at a nearby cafe and includes a pastry, coffee and juice.

I was not at all happy with the standard of this accommodation and it is not what we expected from the publicity photographs that we based our booking on. The main issues are: 1. The room was damp and had a constant smell of damp. The bedding was also all damp and musty. 2. The bathroom shower was dirty and many of the tiles are cracked. 3. The framework of the shower is held together with gaffer tape. 4. A number of the electric wall fittings are loose showing bare wiring. 5. Paint on some of the walls is flaking due to damp. 6. The glass door to an outside courtyard is cracked. 7. The door to the courtyard is locked, hence no fire escape. Some minor issues worth mentioning: 8. No glasses for water or drinking water supplied. 9. The telephone contact number provided is not the correct one. 10. The agent on site was not very helpful and said we had to take up any issues with the booking agent. 11. The room door lock was faulty. The room was so bad we left after the first night an found another accommodation near by.

DO NOT BOOK THIS B&B! I booked directly through the B&B instead of through a 3rd party and had several correspondences including a confirmation of my booking. Imagine my surprise, after messaging them to let them know I had just parked the car and dragging my luggage to Gorgone B&B, when I was informed that they had overbooked and my room was not available. Instead of finding a comparable replacement at a different B&B for me, I was told to look online and see if there was anything else available. As it was the start of the weekend in Lecce, my only option was at a beautiful hotel that was €50/night more than the room I had booked at Gorgone 6-7 months prior. And, beware that the Gorgone website photos do not accurately depict the B&B. Horrible communication and business practices seem to be the issue here. So disappointing!

Esperienza propria negativa con nessuna attenzione sotto l’aspetto umano. Solo business. Purtroppo abbiamo avuto un lutto in famiglia 4 giorni prima della prenotazione già pagata. Ovviamente non potevamo immaginare una cosa del genere. Abbiamo subito cancellato la prenotazione per dar loro la possibilità di poter affittare nuovamente la stanza chiedendo se potevano venirci incontro visto che avevamo prenotato per due notti la suite. Loro hanno risposto che non era possibile…Non è un problema economico, è semplicemente un “attenzione” nei confronti del cliente onesto e corretto. Semplicemente un po’ di umanità.

Ottima posizione che ti permette di raggiungere il centro storico in brevissimo tempo, ma la camera deluxe lascia molto a desiderare. Ambiente poco arieggiato e molto umido,scarsa pulizia. Bagno no comment .

The rooms were great. The air conditioner worked. We were very comfortable! Gio was awesome. She went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We will go again.

Nel centro storico di Lecce a pochi passi da porta Napoli si trova questo beb nascosto tra i tipici palazzi di Lecce. Abbiamo soggiornato nella suite con vasca idromassaggio. Al piano terra ma con un accesso riservato e una piccola corte davanti. Top privacy. La suite ha 3 ambienti collegati un ingresso/disimpegno, la camera e adiacente la stanza da bagno con i servizi in un ambiente separato con porta. Pareti di pietra e soffitto a volta. Parquet dal colore caldo. Letto enorme e comodo due cuscini ciascuno. Qualità del sonno ottima. Arredamento ricercato in ogni dettaglio con mobili in vecchio stile, tappeti poltrone. Un ambiente caldo e accogliente. La zona è tranquilla non si s sentivano rumori anche se a due passi dal centro. La zona è a traffico limitato abbiamo parcheggiato senza difficoltà appena fuori il centro storico e raggiunto la struttura a piedi in pochi minuti. Accoglienza puntuale gentile e garbata anche nelle indicazioni e suggerimenti. A disposizione acqua e una mini bottiglia di spumante..carino come accoglienza suggerirei due flute in vetro anziché i bicchieri di plastica considerata l'attenzione ai dettagli della suite. La colazione non si fa in struttura ma in un bar nel centro storico a ridosso del palazzo della provincia che apre alle 8. Quindi se siete mattinieri o dovete ripartire presto purtroppo non è possibile usufruirne.. infatti noi abbiamo ripiegato per un altro bar. Ad ogni modo comprende una bevanda, un dolce o un rustico e un succo. Consigliato per un soggiorno romantico.
