Since I was only staying overnight, it was clean and I was satisfied.

So I am not sure where the room in the pic is? That was def not the room we got. The room was adequate for a night's stay. The decor run down, there were stains on the rug. The bathroom had the smallest shower I have ever seen. I am tall with long arms and legs and I constantly bumped into the walls and doors of the shower. If I were a large person as well it would have been a no go. The room reminded me of something a missionary would stay in it was very basic. The upside? If you have shopping you can walk up and drop it in the room. Had few cocktails and don't want to drive just go up to the room. We had to go to the restaurant of the same name and then a lady walked us up the hill to our room was not very far a 5 min walk uphill. If bare and basic is what you are after this covers it but it is also close everything on the mount. Our walk the next morning to meet the tour guide took 5 mins. Here is the biggest perk of all! After everybody else leaves (tourist wise) the mount is yours to explore in peace and quiet without the crush of people.

Not a very enjoyable visit to this hotel. Not clean, hair on the floor in the bathroom, musty. Noisy location over top of morning deliveries. It appeared to be a situation where no effort was put into the hotel, because they did not have to - high demand, low supply.

This place has a terrace overlooking the bay. It was about half full when we sat down for something to eat. There was only a single waiter and he clearly could not cope but also was dismissive to our requests for service. After 20 minutes we left and went to the restaurant next door which had a similar terrace. Two other tables did the same thing within 5 minutes of us leaving so lack of service here seems to be a regular feature. Next door our order was taken immediately. One star for the lack of service but an additional star for the pleasant view whilst we were waiting!

We stood there long waiting to be seated while there was enough space, some waiters would pass us and don't say anything at all. We then were given a nice table for two in the sun. They took our order and brought our food pretty fast. My girlfriend took the pasta with seafood for €15 which was okay but if it matter to you you should know that the langostino was not cleaned up. I took the omelet Mont Saint Michel which was written in red letters suggesting it was a recommendation. It was €18 euros for a plain omelet with nothing at all. Really a disappointment. For that price I expect an omele with cheese, ham a salad etc...

Viewed a number of hotels on Le Mont Saint Michel (MSM) and plumped for this one, but the rooms we had, were a little cramped (okay, we are on a small island as such, so didn't expect anything spectacular !) and noted the distances involved getting to the hotel from the car park, but the rooms are further up from the actual La Vielle Auberge itself and a bit of a trek especially for the not-so fit people in life ! The dinner we booked and breakfast were both served in their sister hotel, Auberge Saint Pierre and the dinner was good and the breakfast, self-serve but adequate. Whilst lovely to stay on the isle, I wouldn't necessarily actually stay on the isle but it is worth the visit, as such an imposing and impressive place.

Our family was excited to be seated outdoors at this restaurant during our visit to Mont St. Michele. Then we waited, and waited. In spite of our friendly gestures to the staff, it took about 20 minutes for someone to set our table and provide menus. We watched several other parties arrive after us and have their orders taken. Once our table was set, we again waited patiently for our order to be taken. We observed that customer service appeared to be random: some parties were served immediately, and their food was delivered reasonably promptly; others, like us, were ignored. After about 30 minutes of waiting to place our order, I approached a waitress who was cleaning a table nearby (of a party that came after we arrived) and in a friendly way offered to clean the table for her, in exchange for her taking our order. She promised that someone would come in 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later I saw a man who appeared to be the manager taking orders at a table nearby, and approached him when he had finished the order. In a friendly manner I explained we had been waiting a long time and asked him to take our order. He scolded me and walked away. At that point, a party who had also been waiting quite some time witnessed this response and left. My family followed them out the door. We were promply seated at the terrace restaurant next door and watched the apparently random treatment of diners for the duration of our stay. We could not determine the pattern of serve/not serve, but it was continuous.

If you have an inferiority complex/low self esteem, this is the place for you. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated even when it was half empty. We were shown to our table as if a great privilege was being bestowed upon us, undeserving creatures that we were. There was then a long delay before a waiter came to take our order (two coffees). Just prior to our order being taken, another couple sat at the end of our table, and when the waiter came for our order they tried to order too but were given a dismissive wave! After 10 minutes our coffees had still not arrived so, I am afraid we left. We had observed two other parties give up in the same way. If you think that, as a paying customer, you are entitled to be treated courteously and with efficiency, you might want to go somewhere else!

Really disappointing hotel. The location is obviously great, but our room was not only very small but also had lots of mold around the window and in the bathroom. Which was mentioned twice and never washed. In addition, the breakfast options are misleading, we were told that it was possible to have tea / coffee only, but my mother was refused this, it was a buffet at 19 euros or nothing. I really do not recommend. This is not the fault of the hotel but the noise of the deliveries in the morning makes the nights very short, so if you are a light sleeper, staying on the Mont is not a good idea.

Restaurant to absolutely avoid We left without eating because of the long wait and the staff is so unpleasant and unprofessional We cried for water after 20 minutes of waiting and the carafe came from the table next door..... The waiter told us 10 minutes later to leave because I complained since he was taking orders from people who had been there for barely 5 minutes Address to avoid because of wasted time which meant that all the other restaurants were full.....

Room very well placed with view on the baie.prix a bit high. disappointing breakfast compared to the price and poor quality: sandwich bread, croissant and industrial bread as well as jam and honey. Too bad! It spoils the weekend a bit .. Correct welcome
