This is seriously the nicest Garden Inn I've ever stayed in, with only one relatively minor flaw. Honestly, I like this brand. I'm not the kind of person who needs a Ritz Carlton when I'm traveling, but I do appreciate modern, convenient, comfortable, and clean accommodations. This facility exceeded my expectations in every category. The lobby is beautiful and stylish. Finally - a hotel chain gets it. Sometimes you don't want to be in your room. There was comfortable seating designed for gathering in the lobby. A large-screen TV with cozy seating around, and plenty of little spaces for one or more people to convene really made this lobby unusual. People were using it all day long. I saw families and friend groups treating the lobby like a big living room all weekend long. We used it, too. There's also a pretty bar inside, and big fire pit, with a blazing fire going right outside, too. The room was very thoughtfully designed, with huge nightstands (perfect for my hubby with his CPAP machine) with lots of outlets, a practical place to open a suitcase (that isn't a flimsy stand), and a closet with basket-style drawers (easy to see inside so you don't leaving something behind). My only complaint was the lack of lighting in the room. We arrived after dark and while there was an overhead light in the entryway of the room, the only other lighting was two dim lamps and a couple of book lights. It was shockingly dark in that room. The next morning was cloudy and even with the shades up, it was still unbelievably dark in there. With every other detail thought through so carefully, I was just surprised at this glaring (or not so glaring) oversight. Still - 5 stars and I'll back!
Excellent
