Apartamentos LIVVO Las Gaviotas

One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. Spacious, clean and great kitchen space. Superior room 116. Private from terrace next to pool, large lounge around leading to an internal private courtyard, which lead to the bedroom and bathroom. Initially strange layout but perfect to have totally enclose private outdoor area. Also private rear garden area and lockable drying space. We were literally 100m from the promenade and sea, along with local restaurants and supermarket, and 10 mins walk to wider range of shops and restaurants. Reception staff friendly and very efficient , organising taxis which were approx €7/8 to centre of Puerto del Carmen. Rooms cleaned regularly and fresh towels always available. Air con could have been better but it was minor. We had a couple of minor main maintenance issues which were reported at 8.30pm, we went out for dinner and both were fixed by the time we returned! Overall I would highly recommend Livvo if you are looking for a chilled relaxing holiday in a lovely location

So disappointed in the air con here, only in the bedroom and you are only allowed to put this on for 2 hours at a time!! Which means I have to get up every 2 hours during the night to put it back on and have to wait 10 mins to do so! I have asked twice to turn off the timer and they have refused which is really disappointing, way too hot for us to stay here in July with limited air con that they dint tell yo before booking.

We stayed at these apartments in January and as soon as we were there we knew that we would come back in the summer. When we arrived back in the UK, we emailed the hotel, informing them that we had booked again to come back in June, July for my birthday and our 37th wedding anniversary and could we have the same apartments. When we arrived at the reception we were told that we'd been given the same apartment which was fantastic for us. It was right by the pool. I cannot thank this hotel enough for all the hospitality they showed from the cleaning staff, and the office staff. What a fantastic place this is.

Positives? Great, quiet location. Decent sized and airy rooms with air-conditioning and a handy kitchenette. Showers were good and room service reasonable. Not so good...We were in block 2. There was no servicing of the pool area. The floors and beds were filthy, not hosed, or washed at all. (The uncomfortable sunbeds were being replaced the day we left. ) The pool was only cleaned twice in the 7 days we were there. Bugs, tree debris, and suncream residue made it a risk to go in. Rooms are tired looking, but not a deal-breaker. No courtesy room on the last day for those with late flights is shocking. You really need to think more about your guests' welfare. For €120 you can extend your room hours!!!

We stayed at LIVVO Las Gaviotas from June 14th to 24th, in Block 2, Room 21, and had a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday. We arrived around 11am and were pleasantly surprised to find our apartment was already ready – a great start, especially as check-in wasn’t until 3pm. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and we were picked up and dropped off at the right block by a driver. Block 2 is really well situated – just a short stroll to the beach and right next to the Matagorda commercial centre, which was super convenient. It was also very peaceful, which made for a nice, quiet break. We had a superior bungalow-style apartment which was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The living area had a comfy large sofa, footrest, coffee table and a TV with some English channels – perfect for a bit of downtime. The kitchen included a filter coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, and 2-ring hob. It’s a little dated, but it did the job and everything was clean. The bathroom had been updated and featured a big walk-in shower and a hairdryer, which was a plus. The bedroom had two single beds pushed together and large built-in wardrobes with plenty of hanging space and hangers. The only downside was that the beds were very firm – a bit too hard for our liking. There was only one pillow each, but a quick call to reception sorted that out – extra pillows arrived within the hour. Outside, we had our own little patio area with a table, three chairs, and two sunbeds – all clean and well kept. The communal pool area also had sunbeds and seating and was always tidy. The pool itself looked great, enclosed behind glass panels and advertised as heated – but unfortunately it was absolutely freezing during our stay, so we didn’t end up using it. Not sure if the heating is only turned on in the winter months. Overall, we had a fantastic, peaceful holiday here. The location is brilliant, the apartment was comfortable (apart from the hard beds), and it’s ideal for anyone with mobility concerns as it’s all flat and easy to get around. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again.

These apartments are lovely, basic decor but the staff are very friendly and everything is very clean. The only downfall I would mention is the pillows, there was only one and its long and flat but propping a folded towel under done the job so its not a great issue. The pool area is clean and quiet with a seating area to shade from the sun. We were on block 2 which is directly across the road from the commercial centre which offers a range of pubs and restaurants with plenty of choice. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. We wanted a nice quiet an relaxing holiday and this is exactly what we got and will defo be returning.
