We recently stayed at Los Zocos, had a great time! Check in was quick, staff friendly and explained everything. We were given a map of the complex and we had been put in block 2, room 2340 (I think) which we were happy with as I had emailed and asked for a room that overlooked the quieter pool and was on the top floor prior to going on holiday. It was close to reception and bar/restaurant area, however there was never any noise on a night as the bedroom faced the pool area. There's no lifts though so any issues with stairs or carrying luggage then ask for a lower floor room. The room was spacious, kitchen, dining and living area, then a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was quite basic, but it was large and had everything you needed. The shower had good water pressure and lots of hot water. Plenty of storage in all rooms. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels left every day. There was a full size hair dryer in the bathroom, however this was fixed to the wall, which meant after a couple of people had had showers, that the bathroom was quite humid and not ideal for drying hair in (or at least not my type!). So if humidity is a problem then take your own. We asked about the safe when checking in and paid for that (I think 3 euro a day then 10 euro deposit which you get when checking out) The pool areas are brilliant, there are two different sides, the quieter pool and the pool where they do activities, which is geared more for children/families, there's also an indoor snack bar area at this one. The pools are huge and there are loads of sunbeds, with lots of space to spread out so I can't ever see there being the issue of not getting one or having to go out early and put a towel down. There are places to get drinks at both. The grounds are lovely, well maintained and always somebody gardening, cleaning up etc. Everywhere you go is clean and looked after. The gym is in a small building near the quieter pool, although I never used it I did look in and it looked to have a good range of equipment. Onto food and drink! Evening meals in the main buffet are in two time slots, 6 till 7.30 and then 8 till 9.30. We were given the latter as we didn't have children, I am not sure if that can be changed or requested before you go but it worked really well. When you went into the main restaurant you were asked how many you needed a table for and shown to an area where you could normally take your pick from a few different tables. Again, this worked really well as it saved you wandering around looking for where to sit. All meal times were good, we really enjoyed the food and the selection and the trays were always replenished quickly so everything was always full. As a non meat eater I always found something and there was more choice than other A/I hotels I've stayed at. Help yourself to drinks at all meal times, cold, hot, soft, beers, wines, juices all had dispensers dotted about and we never had any issues with queue
