"This hotel is only a block away from The Convention Songpa where we attended our friend’s wedding. It is a bit far from tourist spots in town but it’s on subway line 8. Lotte World Tower and Olympic park are close by. If I come back to Seoul again I probably won’t stay here.
Personally I was disappointed with the breakfast. I normally love Korean breakfast but their options were very limited and the same food all three days we stayed there.
There was a problem with the drainage in the shower. I stood in a pool of water the whole time and I had to stop my shower twice because I was afraid I was going to flood the floor.
If you need hair dryer and iron, you’ll have to request from the front desk. There wasn’t a shower floor mat/rug either.
The cleaning staff were very nice though and the front desk folks speak English well."
"Excellent value for money! The breakfast was plentiful, and the hotel was very clean. There's a convenient store right downstairs, and a direct bus to Myeongdong stops right outside, getting you there in just 45 minutes. Super convenient!"
"i had a seamless check in and check out. the room is clean upon check in and everything is as is on the pictures and description. its very near a subway station with 2 lines so its very easy to go around. there are lots of restaurants everywhere as well as convenience stores. i went to a concert at olympic stadium and didn't have a problem on my way to and going back to the hotel, its even just 10-15 minutes travel time."
"It was in front of Munjeong Station, so the location and accessibility were good, the rooms were clean and the temperature in the room was reasonable during my stay.
There is a terrace view that is not stuffy because it has good lighting, terrace, and distance from the front building.
Friendly response and good service
I'm a doctor to reuse next time."
"I went to see the cherry blossoms at Seokchon Lake, and the hotel's lake view was so amazing that I fell in love with it~^^
I'll definitely have to come back every spring~
Thank you.
The facilities were great and it was clean, so I really enjoyed it."
"The subway entrance is right downstairs, which was super convenient for getting to the concert. There are two CU convenience stores nearby and even a 24-hour soup restaurant, so no matter how late you get back, there's always food available – that's really awesome! The room facilities were quite complete, and the service was good. The environment was relatively quiet, though the shower drainage had a slight issue."
"Room: Clean, tidy, and very comfortable, giving a home-like feeling.
Language: Communication wasn't perfectly fluent, but the front desk lady was very enthusiastic and provided excellent service.
Getting a taxi was easy. There are several good barbecue restaurants nearby."
"If you're going to KSPO Dome for a concert, this is a great choice!
It's about a 30-minute walk to KSPO Dome, 20 minutes by subway, or 15 minutes by bus, so it's super convenient!
If the weather's good, I highly recommend walking. You'll pass through about a third of Olympic Park, which has beautiful scenery, lush greenery, and lots of birds~
The hotel front desk doesn't speak Chinese, but their English is excellent, so communication was seamless, and they were incredibly polite!
I stayed in a deluxe king room. Even with a 24-inch suitcase open on the floor, there was still plenty of room to move around. The bed is huge, easily comfortable for two people!
The hotel also offers a paid breakfast option: a sandwich plus a coffee or juice.
It's about a 10-minute walk to Jamsil Shopping World Mall and Lotte Duty-Free Shop, and also about 10 minutes to Seokchon Lake Park. You'll pass through a food street with many dining options along the way.
All in all, it's pretty perfect (especially for K-pop fans), except that the bathroom doesn't have a distinct wet/dry separation."
"This hotel is great for fans! I booked a room with a 1.6m bed, which was a bit snug for two people. The room itself is quite small, so for comfort, I'd recommend it for solo travelers. The surrounding area is incredibly lively and bustling with plenty of food and shopping options. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the city center. The service was excellent, and you can communicate in English throughout your stay."
"I booked this hotel because I had business at Olympic Park.
It's a bit of a walk to the station, but it was convenient because I could get there without changing trains. The hotel was relatively clean. It's fine if you just need a place to sleep.
There are stores like Daiso, Olive Young, and Starbucks around the hotel, which was convenient."

Great
GGuest UserAside from breakfast, which wasn't great (though I usually stay in 5-star hotels or above), this Mercure was actually pretty good. I personally prefer more modern decor. It was easy to find for taxis and close to a food street, so quite convenient. However, the smartest move would be to skip breakfast and avoid a balcony room for the best value. A balcony is just one square meter and not really useful, and breakfast is better at the convenience store outside.
GGuest UserPleasantly surprised by this hotel! The service was excellent (you can choose your pillow at the front desk), and there are water dispensers and ice machines in the hallways. It's only a 3-minute walk from Anguk subway station, making it super convenient for getting around. Gyeongbokgung Palace is also within walking distance. This place is perfect for first-time visitors to Seoul who want to hit the main attractions. However, if you're planning on shopping in Gangnam or Seongsu, it might be a bit far. If you're traveling with elderly guests, you can ask the front desk for a non-slip mat (as the rooms have bathtubs, not walk-in showers).
AAichiyudexiaocatThe location is fantastic! Although the room was small, the layout was very efficient. I was surprised they even managed to fit a bathtub and had a separate wet/dry area in such a small space – only in Japan/Korea! The great location meant I could pop back to the hotel to drop off my shopping, which saved a lot of time. Plus, if you cut through the Olive Young store next door, you can get to the other side of the street easily. When checking out, you can use the self-service machine on the first floor, which is super quick. Cars can pull right up to the entrance in the morning and evening. At other times, you have to walk a short distance, but overall, it's very convenient – a one-stop shop for eating, shopping, and exploring!
AAnnaJKThis is not the first time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and everything has always been excellent — but not this time. It all started at check-in, when we were given a different room than the one we had booked. However, thanks to the reception staff, the issue was quickly resolved.
Then we noticed that the toilet smelled of smoke, even though the room was supposed to be non-smoking. We informed the staff, and over time the smell became less noticeable. Housekeeping was done daily, and the staff responded promptly to all our requests.
These minor inconveniences did not spoil our stay. We will definitely come back again.
EEddrenI had a pleasant stay at this hotel during my trip to Seoul. The hotel was nice and clean, and the check-in process was fast and smooth, which made arrival stress-free. Although the room was a bit small, it was still comfortable enough for 3 people.
One of the highlights is the location, there are plenty of food stalls around the hotel, offering authentic local bites without the overwhelming crowds you’d find in Myeongdong. Personally, I found this area much more enjoyable and relaxing.
The metro station is just a 3-minute walk away, making it very convenient to explore the city.
Travel Tip:
From the airport, take the train to Seoul Station (either normal or express), then transfer to the blue line to Chungmuro Station. If you’re carrying luggage, Exit 5 is the best choice since it has an escalator — just walk toward Starbucks. Otherwise, Exit 7 is a quicker option.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and well-located stay in Seoul.
OOlga KruglovaI really liked this hotel. The bathroom with frosted glass was a nice touch, and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels replaced every day. Toiletries were also replenished daily. The overhead shower was super cool! The hotel's location is fantastic, situated between two metro stations, making it easy to get to central Seoul. There are also plenty of shops, a market, and cafes nearby. Plus, there are mountains close by if you fancy a hike. They even have signs in Russian, and the owner speaks a bit of Russian too! 😊
WwxamayI was so lucky to get a room facing Namsan Tower – opening the curtains to that view made me incredibly happy! The facilities aren't brand new, but they are clean. The soundproofing isn't great, though; I could hear people talking outside my door, which was a bit startling on the first night, but I got used to it. The location is fantastic, right above Olive Young and the Myeongdong shopping street, which made it super convenient to drop off my purchases.
AAnonymous UserIt's not really excellent but You get what you payed for.
Aside from they only provide small size face towels.
My only complain is they should no longer provide towels with discolorations and stains.
Check in is strict 3pm
Check out is 11am
No elevator
No own kettle inside the room but u can use the pantry on the 4th floor with microwave.
Near subway station line9 naebang.
GGuest UserSmall nice hotel with complete amenities and friendly staff. Location slightly further than any attractions. Be prepared to walk a bit. It is good for value of money
GGuest User+ Good location 👍🏻
+ Compared to shared rooms I stayed at other places, this single room was peaceful for me.
+ There is an elevator which is also good because lots of guesthouses don't have elevators.
- Shower room is uncomfortable for me. (Though I know that type of showers are very common in Korea and maybe a part of the culture, I just wanted to mention it for other foreign people which may feel uncomfortable.) Showers are next to each other in the same room, seperated by the curtains.
- Kitchen and the room was a bit dirty. The chair in the room had stains on it. It would be a better accomodation experience if the property were cleaner.
