Seaside Laguna Inn & Suites

This cozy inn is right next to the beach with plenty of walkable places. They also accept dogs with a fee and our dog loved the ocean view from the balcony. The room is clean and we really enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel is about a mile away from the main part of town, but easily accessible by the free trolley. It does have parking, so you can leave your car there. It was nice to be away from the noise of the busy downtown area. It is on the ocean side of the street, so you just walk around the corner to the Agate Street Beach. The rooms are small, but adequate. Good mattress. Nice counter in the bathroom with room for two people's toiletries. Our room did not have a view (first floor), but the second floor might. Be warned that as of July 2024, there is a house being constructed right behind the property bringing in big equipment. A little noisy at times. Nice common area with outside and inside tables with coffee machines (including a frother!). Hotel golden retriever - so cute! The breakfast (available upon request - piece of fruit, Activia yogurt, small pastry) was so so. This could easily be improved. Nicer yogurt and better pastry - they were tasteless and dry. The best part of the stay was Maddy and Jack working the front desk. They were so helpful and sweet answering our many questions. Genuine and kind.

Cute room. Good location. However… Their late check in process is SO ridiculously, needlessly complicated! Never experienced anything so bad ever doing massive hotel rooms / reservations over decades. It took 57 minutes with the person trying to guide us step-by-step. Only to eventually just have me send a photo of my credit card and drivers license, because their system is SO bad. So for that reason, we will never stay there again.

Wonderful clean hotel in a great location. About 5 minute walk from the beach and 7-10 minutes walk from downtown. Our room (suite with kitchen and sitting/dining area) was very spacious and clean. Comfy beds. Older hotel shows its age, but is in good repair. Great value.

Exceptional boutique hotel. Cheery personnel, easy and clear instructions on room and hotel amenities, coffee or latte or hot chocolate in the lobby, very charming place with a couple different hangouts indoors and out. Free light breakfast served just ask for it in the lobby in the morning and they will serve it to you on. tray. The stairs to the beach is right behind the hotel.

Although this is an older hotel that could use some sprucing up, it was a good value for the price especially considering the ocean view from our (top floor) balcony. The included breakfast is simple, but for some reason no dairy options to cream the coffee. It is close enough to good restaurants and a long but easy walk into downtown.

We booked this at the last minute and being the 4th July weekend and only needing one night, we were short of options. I gave it 5 stars because it was exactly what it 'said on the tin'. The girls running the place were friendly and helpful. The room and linens were very clean. Everything worked. The bed was comfortable. We were in a Queen room which we were warned would have the sound of traffic on the PCH but we had a good night sleep wearing the ear plugs provided. It wasn't fancy, the room had windows at each end but we had to keep the curtains closed so people couldn't see in.Don't think I could spend a few days in this room but fine for one night. There is a small lounge and outdoor patio area where you can sit and have your own drink/food. There are some books and board games. We played chess. We left early in the morning but you can leave your car there until 2:00pm and use the beach. Just check with the staff. There's a free tram bus that stops all along the PCH so you can go to restaurants/bars beaches and leave your car at the Inn. Parking is a nightmare in Laguna Beach area so this bus is a real plus.

Thus hotel was way overpriced. We are not from California but we’re there for a wedding. Room is small, air conditioner is in a hallway and shut off before cool got to bed area, thin curtains, door didn’t close tight- had cracks, bathroom very small. They advertised a free breakfast but we couldn’t find it.

We stayed for almost 2 weeks and in all honesty, we had a great time. We felt mostly at home and the complimentary breakfast and free parking made a difference in comfort and convenience. The location is just perfect. Brie at the front desk was the sweetest and most accommodating staff member who did all she could to make our stay pleasent. Got a chance to meet the owner and he dog and it was really pleasent as well. Looking forward to coming back.
