Cheetah Ridge Lodge

Where to start! Cheetah Ridge is a little piece of heaven. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much, the staff going out of their way to ensure everything was perfect for us. We were upgraded to the new family suite, (a two bedroom, fully equipped lodge) which is absolutely beautiful. As with other lodges, its located by a watering hole so we were able to watch the hippos (including a v.cute baby), warthogs and waterbuck mulling around for hours. The quality of the catering is excellent although we felt quite guilty not being able to finish everything put in front of us. If you’re thinking of visiting you might want to fast for a month before you do so that you can fully appreciate what’s on offer. There is a genius in the kitchen! A special call out too to Clarence who looked after us in the bar and who rose to every challenge when it came to cocktails. Our guide, Ryan was also great. He navigated some challenging drives to make sure we found the best sightings on offer. He is knowledgeable, passionate about the wildlife and clearly loves his office.

Loved the lodge- absolutely beautiful rooms, loved having a fireplace lit every night when we got back from the game drive. The staff was amazing- so friendly, polite and professional. Game drives were so fun, we got to see everything we wanted: cheetah, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra etc The Food was absolutely top notch- such great quality and delicious. I would have loved if the menu rotated as we had dietary restrictions and therefore had a limited menu which stayed the same throughout our 3 nights there. Our bartenders were stand out- they made every cocktail you could think of and even created ones suited to our tastes! Would definitely recommend!

Our family (two teenagers, my husband, and I) spent 7 nights at Cheetah Ridge Lodge, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The food, service and accommodation were all superb . The game drives were the absolute highlight of our stay, with twice-daily adventures led by our wonderful guide, Ryan. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and warmth brought every sighting to life and made each drive unique and exciting. What stood out most, however, was the exemplary care and genuine hospitality we received from the entire team. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every detail was thought of with unstinting attention. We felt truly welcomed, looked after, and part of something very special. This was our first visit to South Africa. We would love to return and would recommend this remarkable lodge wholeheartedly to anyone looking for an authentic, luxurious, and heart-warming safari experience.

We stayed in the farm house. Was an amazing experience. The staff are so friendly. Mlu our guide got us up close with so many animals. The staff went out of their way to make every part of the stay exceptional! Highly recommend staying here.

The family farmhouse was absolutely perfect for us. We loved the cosy fires and warm towels Clinton would prepare for us, the breakfast and warm drinks post game drive and the space to relax and unwind outside. Every game drive was so special, Cayde went out of his way to show us the big 5 which we really enjoyed and learnt so much from. Cannot recommend Cheetah Ridge enough and thank you to Cayde and Clinton for the exceptional service and taking care of us throughout our stay.
