Nambiti Hills

This is the best all round lodge for the price, particularly great service and food. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Wonderful game drives twice a day. Recommend you stay for at least 2 night so you have a full day to relax.

We had the most incredible stay at Nambiti Hills Lodge. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The game drives were incredible and our game driver was very knowledgeable.

The lodge is situated in the Nambiti Private Game reserve. The location overlooks the beautiful Zululand bushveld with stunning views from the main building where the pool , fire-pit, lounges and dining room are situated. The lodge has recently been completely renovated and is absolutely stunning. The staff are professional, super friendly and helpful and make your stay an absolute pleasure. The game viewing is amazing with very good opportunities to potentially see the ‘big five’ ( if that’s your goal) , but also many other species of wildlife roaming the different landscapes you drive through on your morning and evening game drives. The rangers are excellent. The dining experience is tops with excellent and varying choices on the menu every time. Rooms are well spread out and beautiful Overall an amazing experience and well worth trying!

On a high recommendation from another 5 star lodge we decided to stay here on our way to the airport after a month in Africa, with the idea being it could be a nice way to finish our holiday before driving to O R Tambo. And it didn't disappoint. We'd actaully only booked one night here, but the moment we saw the main building and our room we instantly extended it a further night. The room was lavishly furbished and the staff very friendly and helpful. The pool and restaurant area were also very nice places to hang out durung the day inbetween game drives and thankfully it was lovely and sunny while we were there. Having spent the earlier part of our month holiday on a private safari in Uganda we actually didn't have very high expectations of the game drive part of staying here, but actually it was really quite good indeed. The landscape itself was really quite lovely and we got to see all the animals we could hope for, being rhino, elephants, giraffe, buffalo, hippos, lions and even a serval. In fact we also experinced some rather lovely things we'd NEVER seen on any safari which we've been doing for years, namely a rhino take a mud bath right in front of us and a huge elephant stop and sniff us just feet from the jeep. To see the serval being chased away by two guinnea fowl was amazing to watch too. It wasn't cheap here that's for sure, but waht you get for your money is pretty good, I mean everything was included, the room, meals and two game drives every day, at 3 hours each. Nambiti Hills is a great place to stay and the game drives were pretty good too, so I would have no hestitation recommending this place. If you like high quality lodges to relax and like game drives then this is the place to visit if you're in the area. Very friendly staff too.

I would come back here time and time again. Everything was perfect - we could not doubt our entire stay. The accommodation and room was fantastic and left clean and spotless everyday, with the smaller touches like turndown service and mosquito net over bed not going unnoticed. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the kitchen (including my gluten-free dietary restrictions) and Faith the Chef and her kitchen team accommodated my requests and I never felt like I was missing out! The food at every meal was superb. The staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating. The wait staff and hosts were always smiling, friendly and ensuring we were being looked after and never wanting anything. We had Joe the Ranger and quite simply, he was superb. He spotted animals we could never see; was knowledgeable about the animals and explained so much about each animal we saw. He went out of his way to ensure we were getting the best chances to the see the animals and we were never disappointed. We had close to 7 hours of game drives every day (morning/evening) and never once were we bored or never wanting to go, even if it meant early rises! I would come back here time and time again. This place is truly very special and I will forever remember this holiday as one of the best ones I have ever done (and I've travelled a lot). I just wished we had booked longer. (We had three nights). I didn't want to leave!

Our two night visit to Nambiti Hills was an absolute treat. The newly refurbished rooms and public areas of the lodge are beautifully decorated, well appointed and very comfortable. The service was exceptional. The food was very good - my long list of dietary requirements accommodated at every meal. Sitting on the pool deck, in the fire pit or on the outside terrace the magnificent views envelop you. Wonder, our excellent and knowledgeable game ranger, made our morning and evening game drives interesting, going out of his way to try and track down the elusive cats. Our stay at Nambiti Hills could not be faulted.

Absolute Perfection, everyone went above and beyond to make or stay so special. It was that good we stayed an extra night. HIGHLY recommended
