Champelli Palms Apartments

The review is 100% that says "please don't stay here or you'll regret it"!! The management made me feel very uncomfortable as they were nosey & moonlighted as the cleaner & "maintaince" too. They were obsessed with the old & broken blinds which desperately need replacing. Same goes for the whole place requires a refurbishment. The bed of wheels is awful & as I get seasick I don't know how I survived sleeping on it as the dizzy spells made me feel nauseous too. Everything was pretty much falling to pieces & the oven was probably the only thing that worked properly? The skip didn't cater for recycling either so made disposing of rubbish harder. Can't believe how much they charge & even for basic levels of comfort that weren't there. Even if you're desperate for accommodation there's better places to stay at. Couldn't even have meals at the table as 2 of the chairs were old & broken. Watch out for the leaking Washing machine that was supposed to be fixed too. There's alot more that needs it too a long list but telling you the worst of it including a towel rail sticking out which is dangerous with the nails sticking out. The air vent constantly falling off wasn't good enough either.

The apartment was large and very clean. It should be noted however that there was no shampoo, conditioner, body wash or face washers provided. The apartments are not serviced daily and tea/coffee/sugar are not replenished during your stay. For anyone with mobility issues there is no lift. We did enjoy our stay here. Murray was very helpful and obliging.

Look, if you are a smoker you shouldn't have much issue with your stay here. The apartment is big, and fine for the price. I'm not fussy and won't point out the smaller things. But the one thing I can't stand is the lack of clean air. The other reviews about the smoke smell is true, if anything they are an understatementof how bad it is. The issue is all the air vents in bathroom, toilet and laundry connect to other apartments. The permanent tenants must chain smoke in their rooms which flows through into the other apartments, it's filth. I've have to shut all the doors and pretty much barricade those sections off and have everyone use the ensuite. The bedrooms are opposite these rooms, so even with the doors shut, you can smell it. I've travelled for 30 plus years and never had this happen. Murray seems like a nice bloke but he needs to do something about the vents. Just block them, they do mode damage than good. The stench as you hit the stairwell is brutal. It's like the smokers section at the pub. I seriously can't believe how strong the smell is. In short, if you can deal living like smokers are sitting on your top lip, go for it. I don't get the no smoking signs, what a joke. You can't open the balcony doors to get fresh air as it's just as bad outside. It's like no one here works and just smoke all day. It's disgusting.
