Kyoto Fufu Hotel - "Hidden consumption traps" with a room rate of 10,000 yuan, highly not recommended! ⭐️1-star bad review (lightning warning) As a frequent traveler staying in high-end hotels in Kyoto, this experience at Fufu is a disaster! **The sky-high room rate of more than 10,000 yuan per night**, in exchange for the service quality and full of consumption traps of a fast hotel, is really outrageous! **❌ Indifferent service attitude, lack of professionalism** • Difficulty in communicating in English at the front desk, and basic service information cannot be clearly conveyed • No one assisted with luggage handling throughout the whole process (from check-in to check-out, it was all self-service, and even let the female driver carry heavy luggage alone) • The attitude of the service staff was perfunctory, and they did not have the professionalism that a high-end hotel should have **💸 Malicious hidden charging terms, ugly appearance** • Deliberately not informing the 11 o'clock check-out rule when checking in • A high fine of 13,200 yen (about 650 yuan) was charged for a 40-minute delay in check-out (The problem is that the hotel staff did not mention the check-out time when checking in, and there will be a fine for late check-out) • According to Ctrip customer service: Check-out after 12 o'clock will be charged a full-day room fee (10,000+) • This is no longer a service omission, but a carefully designed consumer trap! **🏨 Simple facilities, extremely low cost performance** • The hotel space is small, and public facilities are almost zero (no swimming pool, no specialty restaurant, no leisure area) • The room has no highlights except for the private bath (the hardware of Aman and Ritz-Carlton at the same price is a complete victory) • The breakfast quality is mediocre and is completely unworthy of the 10,000 yuan room rate Through this experience, it is found that the hotel has an obvious "information opacity + high fines afterwards" profit model. Compared with other real high-end hotels in Kyoto (Aman/Ritz-Carlton/Hoshinoya), Fufu not only has poor service, but also is suspected of using terms to defraud consumers!

The room has a private bath, which is prepared in advance. There is also a tea table where you can boil water for yourself. The breakfast is rich and delicious. I will consider staying again.

I like their courtyard, it's very high-end and well designed. It's a hotel I want to stay in all the time. The location is very good and you can go out to see the beautiful cherry blossoms. It's a pity that I didn't choose the right time and went too early... I didn't see it. Overall, I like the bed the most. It's the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

To be honest, the price/performance ratio is not high. The service is good, the food is not bad, but there is no open-air bath, and the courtyard is too small, which is definitely a flaw. Of course, it is my fault for forcing a traditional hot spring hotel in the center of Kyoto😔

When I stayed at Fufu, it was snowing heavily, which was a beautiful environment. I would like to thank the Chinese-speaking guy at the hotel for his hard work and his busy schedule. Overall, it was good, but not amazing. It was just a four-story building with some landscape views on one side, which was not as good as Hakone Baidan and Cuisongyuan. (1) Except for the wine with price tags in the refrigerator, all other drinks and beer were free to drink, and some snacks were also provided; (2) The hot spring was in the room, which should be a calcium carbonate spring. The hotel does not have a hot spring in the public area; (3) I tried Fufu's kaiseki dinner on the third night, which was too slow. The eight dishes took 2 hours to serve, and the taste was average. I miss the grilled fish I had at Baidan during the Spring Festival in 2019, but I have never tasted it again.

From Kyoto Station to the hotel, change to Nibe Subway Station for 7 stops. Taxi is 2700 yen. Breakfast needs to be booked. Bath is clean and comfortable.

Because we were going to Nanzenji Temple and Eikan-do, we chose to stay at FuFu. It is next to Wulin-an and Hyotei. You can walk to the above attractions. The environment is small but exquisite in Japanese style. The room comes with a private bath. It is worth the extra 4k per night. The check-in guy is from Kazakhstan and is fluent in Chinese, English and Japanese. He is very enthusiastic. We chose to deliver breakfast to the room. I have stayed in the same brand hotel in Hakone before, so I chose this hotel again this time. The price is a little bit more expensive in the red season. The breakfast for two consecutive days is not as good as before. The price-performance ratio is not particularly high. The breakfast included in the room rate is more expensive than the guests outside at noon.

Very unique small hotel, the garden, breakfast and private hot spring are the highlights, the service is absolutely first-class, the location is very close to the temple in the east, great! The only thing is that because of the private hot spring, the noise of the equipment is a bit loud at night. If you want to eat breakfast by the garden window, you need to make an appointment in advance.

The private hot spring in the hotel room is great. I take a bath every day after going out to relieve fatigue. It is very close to Nanchan Temple, and there are many small shops around, and there is also a zoo with a long history! :)

Because the rooms in Kyoto are not as big as those in Nara, but the Kyoto store perfectly demonstrates the aesthetic taste of the thousand-year-old capital, the ultimate use of space, and every detail is carefully designed. The hotel does not have a shuttle bus. The nearest subway station, Keage Station, is a 9-minute walk. If you have a lot of luggage, you must take a taxi. The surrounding area is the most classic scenic spot in Higashiyama District. Dinner is very suitable for my taste and of excellent quality. If you book without meals, you can book it at 3 o'clock. Dinner is not like other hot spring cuisines, which only have two time periods. Here it is between 5:30 and 8:30, which leads to the process card point not as good as Hoshino, because there are many grilled restaurants with the taste of barbecue, but the quality is much better than Hoshino, and the room supplies are even more crushing Hoshino, because there is no tea bar, the room drinks and snacks are prepared a lot and good, and the snacks are all produced by famous Kyoto stores, which are very delicious.
