The location is very convenient since it is located 5 minutes away from the Kyoto Train Station and close to the Kyoto tower. The beds and the overall facilities were very nice. My favorite part was the shower since it is very big and you can have a normal shower as well as relax in the bathtub, convenient time is to use it later on at night since it is a shared bathroom. The host was very friendly and helped us with our luggage (putting it in the room as well as storing it after check-out)

100 points for service. Very close to Kyoto Station. A great choice for a night's sleep. The only problem is that not everyone may be used to sleeping on tatami.

If you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. The walls are quite thin indeed, you can easily hear people walking on the hallway or simply chatting in their rooms.

Very nice ryokan! It's very close to Kyoto Station, perfect for catching a train. The room has tatami mats, a TV and a refrigerator. It is very clean, quiet, and very Japanese-style.
