The staff at the front desk was amazing and let us check in ahead of the specified time which I am so grateful for, we went to drop off the luggage but were informed that the room was ready so we proceeded to check in. Be advised that Kyoto charges a tourist tax to be paid in cash only. The room was spacious and very cozy, however the bathroom had a must/moldy smell. I didn’t let the staff know because they were gracious to let us check in early and I didn’t want to be a nuisance also it wasn’t a deal breaker for us but might be for some people. Laundry was complementary. Also this is the 4th hotel that we checked in into in Japan in a week span and is the first hotel not to offer basic necessities as in lotion, razor, moisturizer for face and body among others; for the price paid I expected more. We did get a super cute reusable bag.

The service staff are all foreigners. The advantage is the location. The environment is average. The facilities are very ordinary. You have to get your toothbrush in the lobby. I think this is very bad. The advantage is that there is a sauna, a terrace, and an enzyme bath, which is very good. The attitude of the waiter is very average.

The hotel is small but very stylish. The front desk staff is friendly and speaks good English. The facilities are very new, and the free hot cocoa provided in the lobby captured the hearts of the children~ The location is excellent, in the center of Gion, opposite the Geisha Museum, and only 3 minutes away from the largest supermarket (family mart) nearby. It is very convenient to eat across the Kamogawa River or to walk to Gion Shijo Subway Station for about 10 minutes. The room is quite spacious for Japan, and the bathtub is equipped with a bubble bath machine; There is a refrigerator and an induction cooker, but unfortunately there are no pans provided. Otherwise, if you are too tired after a day of playing and don’t want to go out to eat, you can buy a few steaks in the supermarket and fry them yourself. My kids told me to leave positive reviews. For this reason, even though I delayed the post, I still came back and reviewed them carefully 😂

It is relatively new, the location is good, and the room design is good. The only two small suggestions are the laundry machine and the breakfast content.

You can basically walk there. There is a bus stop about 100 meters away from the hotel, which is also very convenient.

The location is excellent. Kenninji Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, and Kiyomizu Temple are all within walking distance. Hanami-koji is right outside the door, and I often pass by Miss Ge*. The hotel has complete facilities and good service. The room is large and can accommodate a family of four comfortably. The round bathtub in the bathroom is great, and there is also a sauna in the room.

Hotels in Kyoto are generally expensive. This one is more like a B&B. The facilities are not as good as Hilton's Double Tree, but the rooms are bigger. The staff is also very good, and it is new. The only difference is that the paint smell in the corridor is a bit strong, but not in the room. I just value its very convenient location. There is a bus stop at the door, which is very convenient and close to any scenic spot. It would be better if there were 2 more washing machines in the laundry room, because it is very hard to wait. My son loves the bath tub the most, and he soaks in it every day. This is very good!
