Business Hotels in Kyoto

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room and hallway were very clean. The price was very fair. What made us happy was the breakfast on the top floor. The floor rotated while eating. My 11th stay in this hotel.   Love the location and the service they provided.     Special thanks to Mr Yasuda San for the extra efforts the he has  put in to solve my room issues when checking in.   Will definitely be back next year again.

This is the second Gracery hotel we booked in a year and we were not at all disappointed at Kyoto. Located in the heart of the city/ market: It enables you to have a backup for a rainy day, with a covered market to explore the moment you step out. Getting around was fairly easy by walking - even to Gion, etc. and the format of the room is good for a family.

A lovely stay at this establishment. The self operated laundry service was fantastic. Room was roomier than the size suggests. Free ice cream and onsen service was second to none. Location was quite central; close enough to Kyoto Station. I’ll definitely be back in future. Thank you for the wonderful hotel!

We had a good stay at Keihan Kyoto. The hotel was well located, just across the station which makes our move really convenient either by train , bus or metro. The room was big enough for the three of us. It has a large window, a bathroom with a small bathtub and a little sofa. We had a large bed with a comfortable mattress. The breakfast buffet offers Japanese dishes and several western options. Finally, the staff was really nice and helped us when needed.

If I had to point out a slightly unsatisfactory aspect, it would be the inefficiency of the front desk service. When I asked for a recommendation for the nearest laundry service, they didn’t provide any suggestions at all and were quite perfunctory. Due to being in a hurry, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the bus station for me. Instead of taking action, they kept saying that the roads were closed today and that taxis might be delayed, along with a lot of unhelpful comments. This wasted a few minutes. It would have been much better if they had simply gone downstairs to call a taxi and helped solve the problem. Overall, I felt their service lacked enthusiasm, which was something I was very dissatisfied with. As for location wise, this hotel’s location is UNBEATABLE. I would stay again for the location and nothing else

Easily the best hotel that we've stayed in Japan so far. Location is great as what everyone says. Right smack in a shopping district with full of eateries. Too bad I only booked 2 nights in Kyoto. Should have stayed longer. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Guided me through their self check in system which is user friendly as well. Will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Sleep quality is the most terrible issue. Air conditioner blows too much, even when turned off. It's way too hot to fall asleep. The only option is to open a window, but it doesn't open much. Plus you get more noise and light from outside in the morning. Pillow are super rough, and there is no choice between pillows. I got a neck pain and ended up sleeping on a small decorative pillow instead. Breakfast dishes are mostly cold, some dishes are way too oily to be served for breakfast. Dishes are not refilled. No fruits. They only served a banana cut in 4 pieces and places on a small dip, so you phisically cannot take more than 3 pieces on your plate. A total joke. The hotel is also outdated compared to other hotels in the chain. Such as there are no USB sockets by the bed, as in some other places.

This hotel has wonderful costumer services and the employees speak many languages. Right up the street there is a 7/11 store for all your snack run, there are cafe and restaurant within walking distance. The Karasuma-Oike station is literally 3-5 minutes walk. The best part is the traveler’s store that is about a 10 min walk. I been wanting to go there and finally got to visit it. This store has stationary items such as notebooks that can have you record your journey.
