Great time in this human scale hotel , with great service , and great place . We have stayed Ten Days , i was a great experience , really peacefull. The staff is really sympathic , and we had great surprise form the staff during our romantic stay.

The hotel was very beautiful with great views of the ocean. The staff was very accomadating. With low tides in the mornings we were able to walk along the beach. This a secluded beach best for couples. Our suite was ocean front with the best views of the ocean

We spent 5 nights at the Albatross in October. Apparently, this is the low season so they don't have full services in the restaurant. It would have been helpful to have that information indicated on the website in advance for us to make a fully informed decision. The rooms were spacious with a large bed and small table with one chair. The bed was quite hard but we appreciated the mosquito netting and the effort of spraying twice per day to keep the bugs to a minimum. The bathroom was large and they provided shampoo and a hair dryer. There was some nice seating on the patio out front of our room that we utilized and enjoyed. The beach has significant tides which we knew about but when the tide was in it was a great spot for swimming. There was a company on the beach that offered water activities but we just enjoyed relaxing in the water and by the pool. Both had super warm water. The property and grounds are very nice and well maintained. The food was really where we were disappointed. The breakfast buffet had very limited options. We ate there two nights for dinner and found the food to be very basic. Perhaps for families with small children, it would be a good fit. For us, it was very mediocre. The staff were all very sweet and the manager checked in regularly so that was great. They took excellent care of us and bent over backward to make our stay pleasant. The location was nice and we were able to get around to a couple of other restaurants - including the Jetty at the Dongwe Beach Club which served an incredible meal. The 4 stars are really due to the lacklustre food. If eating nice meals isn't a priority for you then this is a great spot to stay.

We zijn zondagavond 24 september vanuit een verschrikkelijke accommodatie waar we net waren aangekomen op zoek gegaan naar een ander verblijf. Na even zoeken vond mijn vrouw Albatros Ocean View. Wij appten met de manager en hij regelde dat de volgende ochtend om 9 uur een taxi klaar zou staan en onze kamer beschikbaar was. Om 10 uur in de ochtend arriveerden wij bij Albatros Ocean View en werden wij verwelkomd door de manager en konden wij nog genieten van een goed ontbijt met zicht op de oceaan. Het personeel van “Albatros” heeft ons een super mooie week aan zee bezorgd. Een speciaal dankjewel aan manager mr. Frank en vooral de bediening door Mozes en Peter zullen wij niet vergeten. Zoveel oprechte gastvrijheid en niets was de heren teveel. Of het nu door Peter en Mozes door henzelf georganiseerde etentjes op het strand waren of een speciaal menu betrof, alles kon en alles met veel toewijding en plezier. Het hotel was klein (18 kamers) en had een mooi zwembad en lag direct aan zee. De kamer was schoon, groot en netjes en voorzien van airco. Het eten was gewoon goed en lekker. Een enorme keuze aan betaalbare cocktails maakten het verblijf compleet. Je merkte aan het personeel dat het management betrokken en goed voor hun was. Ze gingen als een familie met elkaar om en zorgden ervoor dat het de gasten aan niets ontbrak. Helaas hebben wij na terugkomst vernomen dat het hotel door een andere investeerder is overgenomen en dat het personeel op zoek moet naar een nieuwe baan. The staff is amazing and very kind, the food is really good and also the rooms are clean. I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Zanzibar. There are also beach boys there in front of the hotel that will propose you some activities, I’d recommend to visit Nakupenda, Prison Island, Stone Town and go in the Blue Lagoon for snorkling.

The Albatross Ocean View staff were the so friendly. I arrived 12 hour later due to delays in flights and I found Stella from reception and the security guard waiting for me. They were so happy that I had finally arrived even if it was midnight. The room was large and everything was comfortable, just a word of advice though it would be good to have a fridge in the room. All the staff were friendly even willing to get me a coconut even if it was not in the menu. I highly recommend staying in the Albatross.

When you enter this property you seem to have arrived in heaven. On the beach, airy, quiet and personal - large room. Only minus that stops this place from getting 5 stars is the food. The food was quite bland, and despite a large menu, you might want to mix it up with going to The Rock or the small restaurant next door. Regardless, I would highly recommend this place.

Accueil chaleureux et familial, Cadre idéal, personnel attentif et réactif. Hôtel avec peu de chambres donc on se sent pas submergés par la foule. On se sent chouchouté et Benjamin prend bien soin de l’hôte. Le patron est présent sur les lieux et s’intéresse à chacun.
