Blue palm is a lovely lodge situated in a quiet beach, surrounded by palms and silence. The best part is the staff, everyone is sooo lovely, kind and accommodating. We had the pleasure to get to know the amazing bar staff, Mwinyi, Mohamed, Omari and Joseph, always ready to satisfy our needs with a kind smile and a pleasant attitude. Originally we had been assigned room number 2, which we did not like, very small and hot with a small window... We asked for a change and paying a (high) supplement we had the private cottage on the beach with a table where breakfast was served and sunbeds. The view was amazing. The cottage is the only one with a/c... The other rooms only have a fan and it can get hot... Bare in mind that it is africa... Sometimes the power goes off and the generator can't make the a/c work... But the fan works... Also the cottage is the only one with a small fridge... Which we loved. You have monkeys that sometimes come to visit.. And an adorable red cat... The owner could have been a bit more friendly, and present with the guests. Greeting and asking how everyone is doing. But the staff make up for her absence.... The food is very tasty and plenty of choices (we did full board). Make sure you are not in a rush... Here "pole pole" is the mantra (slowly slowly)...order food in advance.. You will wait a while.. Probably they make everything from scratch. I recommend this place for a relaxing stay! Please remember to tip the staff...!!
