Zen Boutique Resort

My girlfriend and I stayed at Zen Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. The hotel itself is stunning – a serene blend of modern comfort and traditional Zanzibari charm. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and opened up to peaceful views that made us feel completely relaxed. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and we really appreciated the cozy, intimate atmosphere that made it feel like our own private retreat. The staff went above and beyond throughout our visit – always friendly, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed. The food was delicious – fresh, flavourful and made with care. The location is ideal for exploring, but honestly, we found ourselves just wanting to stay and unwind at the hotel. The pool area was a favorite spot of ours, perfect for lounging and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. This was one of the most memorable trips we’ve had, and Zen Boutique Hotel played a huge part in making it so special. We left feeling completely refreshed. Highly, highly recommended for couples looking for a romantic escape!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Spent two quiet relaxing days at the hotel. Staff were really great. Chris, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. Sarah, the owner was very attentive and frequently seen around the property. The restaurant staff were friendly and provided great service as well. Delicious food and drinks for a fair price. The room was so lovely and we had an outdoor shower. Loved the pool, rooftop bar, and gym. Great location and safe with security and private parking

Zen Boutique is just WOW in every aspect! My friend and I stayed here for two nights and honestly it was not long enough. We fell in love with Zen. First of all, the aesthetic is so beautiful. Every corner of the plane is STUNNING. The food is incredible - we especially loved the chicken mango wrap and the lobster. The staff is so friendly and attentive and were there for whatever we needed. All in all it was such an incredible stay and we cannot wait to be back! 10/10

Zen Boutique was just perfect for us. It literally had everything we wanted in the 7 nights of our say, and we felt we had a proper relaxing holiday. So much to say about Zen. The staff were lovely and welcoming, especially Humprey and MJ who remembered how we like our coffee in the mornings. The meals are cooked from fresh every day by their super chefs. And I would highly recommend the Nutella cheesecake and the seafood platter, absolutely delicious. Zen boutique has a tower, where you can sit and watch the sunset every evening, it is spectacular. The beach front is only a 10-15 minute walk. And if you are up early enough, you can was the sun rise whilst having a swim in the Indian Ocean. You will often see the owners, Tyson and Sarah around the resort, i saw Tyson helping his staff with cooking and serving in the restaurant. Ty and Sarah really go over and above to look after their quests. They organised our taxis, helped organise excursions and gave us information on which bars/restaurants to go to. Thank you Tyson and Sarah for making my holiday one of the best holidays and i will be returning again.

The name is perfect, we felt very Zen and relaxed during our stay. The resort is stunning with lots of hidden areas to enjoy. Our room was perfect with everything we needed. Set around the outside pool. The location was perfect with stunning views of the sunset and a short walk to the beach. The food was fresh, delicious and very affordable. The breakfast was endless and all fresh. The seafood evening was exceptional and the barbecue was such a lovely evening with so many options and a lovely dressed eating area to enjoy it. Sarah and Tyson were available before and during our trip to offer advice and arrange any requests. We booked everything through Zen to include our Safari and Boat trip which was not only really affordable but also seamless. Our personal requests and dietary requirements were taken care of without having to keep requesting. The attention to detail and personal touches really did make a difference. We were advised daily on Sunset, sunrise and tide times which helped us plan our time. We booked massages with Rachel and yoga and breath work with Natasha which were equally fantastic. Sarah and Tyson the owners treated all of the guests with a personal touch. Even a couple staying at a nearby beach hotel came to spend an evening at Zen , the male guest mentioned he wanted to propose at the top of the viewing tower and we watched as Sarah pulled together the most romantic dressed area in less than an hour while Tyson distracted the couple , all in time for the sunset proposal! Honestly the most beautiful place to stay . The resort is planning retreats for Male and females. I am booking the female retreat for March 2025 as Zen boutique is truly infectious ❤️
