Puijonsarvi is legendary - it had the coolest night club in town in the 1980's :) The hotel has an excellent location near Kuopio's main attractions and the breakfast buffet is maybe the best I've had at this hotel chain. Service is always friendly no matter how busy the house may be.

The first time I came to Kuopio, Finland, I chose this hotel. The overall experience was quite good! The hotel staff is warm, the infrastructure is complete and the experience is very good. The sauna is comfortable, the first time I have a free sauna in the hotel.

Upraded rooms with air-conditioning. The hotel is located in a building from the 70's and it seems they have done a partitial renovation. Some things seem older than others. All the basics work well, nothing special to mention. The hotel is located in a beautiful location by the lake Kallavesi, but the scenery is sadly totally lost, you really see it only from the staircase (or room, if it has lake-view). There is a terrace on the lake-side, but no service there. Hotel's pool was being renovated, so we couldn't try it. Breakfast was ok, I've had better breakfast in other Scandic hotels. Item labels were misplaced and many items (for example smoothie) had way too much sugar in them.

Neat and high-quality Syvärinkulta A holiday apartment, which is situated in a peaceful cottage area, the nearest separate neighbouring cottages being 20-30 metres away. Path to shore is rather steep, with stone steps along the way. Good “base camp” at Tahko resort for a family or two couples.1 lot of firewood/day is included in price. More firewood can be purchased from the local shops. Neighbour apartment is no. 11598 (Syvärinkulta B).Pets are allowed for an additional fee.
