Yifei Hotel (Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street)

THE ROOM(S) STUNK ALL NIGHT!!! THEIR SEWER SYSTEM HAS A PROBLEM!!!! WE TRIED TWO DIFFERENT ROOMS AND BOTH STUNK LIKE SEWERAGE AFTER USING THE TOILET. IT'S REALLY BAD!!!!!! ALSO, ANOTHER USER ON THE CHINESE VERSION OF TRIP REPORTED THE SEWER SMELL BACK IN MARCH, YET THE HITEL HASN'T FIXED IT!!!!The smell was unbearableand and nauseating at times so I spent the evening working out how to minimise the smell. I ended up blasting the air-con with cool air while having the bathroom ventilator running all night. The small plastic yellow cap the lady put over the drain did little to block the sewerage smell. Also the woman who served us last night had very poor customer service - no smile, no apologies about the smell, no reassurance she would help solve the problem - all basic customer service skills lacking, and she had a bottle of air freshener to tackle the sewer snell problem...THAT WON'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!! The positives: the bed was soft and comfortable but the sheet cover came off over-night for some reason; the projector and tv was good for entertainment; the windows were adequately sound-proof so traffic noise outside wasn't a problem. The negatives: apart from the HORRENDOUS SMELL OF SEWERAGE, the automatic toilet made a loud bang when you left the toilet (the noise banging woke up my partner early this morning). Also, after my complaint about the smell, some random cleaner recommended another room which didn't have a smell....yea NAH lady, after two rooms smelt of sewearge, I'm not taking any chances! I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE BECAUSE THE SEWEARGE SMELL WILL MAKE YOU WANNA PUKE OR PASS OUT!!!!!
