Best place in Kumarakom to stay in, had a great experience and we really felt happy with the service provided. Rooms were ultra clean and comfortable The staff were amazing and treat you like family, especially impressive service from Unni Kuttan. Truly Awesome and great experience. We recently stayed at Taj Kumarakom which I had booked blindly thinking Taj would provide the best experience. Little did I know! The food was so bad that we ended up eating at Lake Resort Kumarakom for all meals. I would highly recommend that. In fact we were thinking we should have better stayed there. The manager at the reception, Priya, was quite cold, refused to upgrade our rooms which I wanted to do using the Taj Epicure room upgrade vouchers. While she claimed there were no rooms available, I spoke to the cleaning staff and found that two rooms were vacant. When we enquired about using Uber her response was again non-committal because obviously she wanted us to use the hotel cab and charge a bomb. The lights in the room kept going out and we had to keep readjusting the key to get power back. Thee seemed to be some loose connection. Overall it was such a poor and disappointing experience, I would not recommend staying here and wasting your money. When you stay in a five star it’s not only the facility but the people and customer service that makes the stay unique and worthwhile. In contrast we had an amazing experience at taj kochi who were really hospitable.

Absolutely amazing stay. We had such a brilliant time, the hotel is unbelievably peaceful within a beautiful setting. The service was incredible. We especially enjoyed an e-bike tour with our guide Vishnu. He took us around the local area and introduced us to some of the villagers. It was utterly fascinating, and his knowledge on the people, customs and wildlife was spectacular. We also enjoyed a kayaking trip with Abhinash, who was very knowledgeable on all the local birds. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, we will definitely be back.

From the moment I arrived, the impeccable attention to detail was evident, from the greeting on arrival to the beautifully maintained grounds to the thoughtfully curated houses. Every element was crafted to perfection, ensuring a truly luxurious stay. What set this resort apart was the personalized service and highly trained staff. Every team member went above and beyond, anticipating my needs and adding thoughtful touches throughout my visit and managing my expectations (I.e. regarding the visit to the bird sanctuary). I also loved the chance to try pottery. The buffet options were outstanding, offering an impressive selection of local Kerala dishes alongside international cuisine, all prepared with fresh, flavorful ingredients. If you’re looking for a resort that combines luxury, world-class service, and cultural experiences, Kumarakom Lake Resort is the perfect choice. Can’t wait to return!
