Very nice property on back waters…resort has water body in centre which is good to look at

We loved our stay at this property. To our pleasant surprise, we had been upgraded to a better view room as well. The hotel is stunning & very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed all the delicious meals served by both the restaurants. The hotel has a variety of activities at additional cost which can be tried out, we enjoyed cycling through the village. There was complimentary yoga offered in the morning to guests but I suggest it should be made into an hour slot from 30 minutes to gain more benefit. Lastly, the staff was extremely courteous, polite, accommodative and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable experience.

Taj Kumarakom we had a wonderful experience, chwf subin mecheri prepared one fish curry for us, one of the best fish curry i had in my life. While check in time i thought we will try some meal in out side but all meal we consumed from taj Kumarakom beacause of the hospitality and food. Thank you subin for taken care for is

Superb service by exceptionally cordial and caring team starting with Priya at the Front Desk. Facilities are superb and the property is really well maintained and welcoming. We loved the food choices and the whole dining experience as well as spa services, arranging for other activities and sightseeing arrangements.

What's great: The property's serene atmosphere and idyllic setting are the one true outstanding feature of the Taj Kumarakom. If you cherish a quiet, peaceful holiday, this is the spot for you. Right next to the lake and the bird sanctuary. Open expanses with huge waterbodies and beautiful birds make it a property where we want to stay in than go out. What needs to improve: Everything else. The 1800s property needs to be brought into 2025 in terms of management. The staff is courteous but misses the Taj training which makes them intuitively efficient. F&B: This is the area needs the biggest care. Service is slow. Restaurant menus are limited and outdated. The breakfast spread was strictly ok, even taste wise. Our Lotus Villa had only one charging point. The light to the outdoor shower in the otherwise spacious bathroom, is strangely outside the bathroom. The idea is not to nit pick but to contextualise the premium rates against an service experience which in comparison feels outdated.

I stayed here for one night and absolutely loved the beautiful atmosphere. The sunset shikkara cruise was a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Priya and the team for recommending Malarickal—it was truly worth it. A place everyone should visit. Highly recommended!

Beautifully located and easily accessible, the room was clean, comfortable, and opened directly to the lagoon—a truly wonderful experience. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The shikkara ride was incredible, offering a glimpse into the daily lives of those living by the backwaters. A special thanks to Priya for recommending the canal ride, and to Chef Subin for catering to all our needs and consistently going the extra mile. The food was outstanding. One of the finest places I’ve stayed, and I look forward to returning.
