Sekeping Tenggiri

Definitely overpriced RM220.00 per night considering very minimal maintenance. The concept is brilliant but rooms could have been more comfortable with a bit more washroom privacy. Even for couples it's too intimate. We had the room right at the entrance to the facility. People coming in to check in could peek into our room and shower. Toilet had no door or even a curtain. The shower didn't have roof. If it had rained , we would be showering in the rain. No hooks or hangers to hang clothes or towels. We had 3 in 1 Nescafe sachets offered for beverage for that price. We had better accommodation in Thailand for cheaper price with that concept. And I have travelled in Asia quite a bit so I know what to expect.

I stayed in Sekeping Tenggiri on 7 July 2022 for my pre-wedding photoshoot and it is a big disappointment. The place is not well maintained. The room is full of mosquitos and the mosquito repellant that was in the room is not working. The fan has only 1 speed and it can only be turned on with the fastest speed and the remaining settings aren't working. The curtains are cheap and made from very thin material which can be easily see through. Additionally, not all window panels are given curtains and can be viewed from the outside. Thus there is no privacy in the room. The security is very poor. The hotel uses normal lock which can be easily duplicated and risk our belongings being stolen.
