The resort advertise itself as an 5 star establishment. At most Kipriotis Maris Suites is 3 star on a good day. Here are the following reasons why it is not a 5 star resort: *When entering the main reception, there were no functioning AC, and it stayed so for the rest of our stay. Very warm and uncomfortable even though one expect AC in a 5 star establishment. *Empty bedroom, in our opinion a 5 star room offers for example: bathrobe, slippers, pen and paper, iron and so on. There wasn't even electrical outlet by the bedsides. *The bathroom had mold on and around the shower area *The room was very poor (for a 5 star resort) *The sunbeds were very worn out and sometimes malfunctioned. * The saffran rice was anything BUT saffran, most likely it was curcumin. We are from Iran and we know what saffran taste like, and also the colour of saffran in different kind of foods. *Kunefe (dessert) was more like vanilla pudding *Late night snack bar, was mostly an empty fridge. The fridge was empty 60 percent of the time of our stay (we stayed for 7 days). *No water bottles offered besides one bottle on the arrival day. When we asked why, the only answer we got was that we had to fill up the empty bottle at the reception area. Due mind that often the water dispenser was luke warm or empty. *Most of the food offering regardless lunch or dinner was 50 percent either pasta or potato in some kind of way. *The tzatziki was lacking an essential ingredients, garlic. Note that we as a couple work in aviation and we have travelled all over the world. The staff was very helpful and proffesional, but when the expectations do not match the advertised product the end result often fails.

Enjoyed our stay, Freddo who is part of the entertainment crew was amazing. He took the time to sit and talk to us and was always encouraging us to join in with activities. Nothing was too much trouble.

We hebben tien dagen doorgebracht in dit vakantieoord en over het algemeen een fijne tijd gehad. Het personeel is vriendelijk en doet zichtbaar haar best om het iedereen naar de zin te maken. Ook het eten was prima en het verblijf was aangenaam. Toch zijn er een aantal verbeterpunten. Het resort adverteert als vijfsterren, maar komt eerder overeen met drie. De kamers zijn gedateerd en het geheel oogt wat verouderd. Het zwembad is tijdens ons verblijf niet schoongemaakt, wat zichtbaar was aan het water en de filters. Onze dochter’s witte bikini en haar kregen een groene waas. De kamer werd goed schoongehouden en het beddengoed regelmatig verschoond, maar één keer rook een laken naar een muffe kaaslucht, wat niet prettig was. Ook zouden nettere kleding voor het personeel en airconditioning in de welkomsthal het geheel verbeteren. Het is daar erg warm en het personeel verdient betere omstandigheden. Hun inzet verdient niet alleen waardering, maar ook goede ondersteuning. We hebben het beste van onze vakantie gemaakt en zeker genoten, maar we zouden hier niet nog eens terugkeren tenzij er duidelijke verbeteringen worden doorgevoerd.

We have just returned from this hotel and couldn’t have had a better holiday! The pool is fantastic, the rooms were spacious with very comfy beds, we stayed in a suite, and we had WIFI throughout the hotel. The bathrooms were very clean, tiled throughout. Yes the taps need replacing but they work fine, and the maids were always busy and did an excellent job. The meals were different everyday and we had Italian, Asian, Greek, Mexican and plenty of show cooking during our stay. The restaurant manager and team were super friendly and polite. There were self service drinks as well as the bar and the snack bar by the pool was great if you skipped lunch. There was also a fridge that was stocked from 10am with sandwiches and salads for those were going out for the day or wanted to lounge by the pool. There was plenty to entertain adults and children alike throughout the day and night, and our son loved the kids club, Karaoke and Greek night. Special mention to the animation team - Larissa, Matilda, Kasia, Freddo and most especially our new bestie Taylor💛. The bar staff were always happy to help as were Anna, Eva and Viktoria on reception. Some have mentioned that there are ants everywhere and, yes, there are ants but it’s an Island and they are extremely important to the ecology of such places. Just try not to spill drinks! The location is great for a nice, easy walk to Kos town and directly opposite a pebble beach with warm waters. The only tiny negative was that our air conditioning wasn’t very powerful so it was always hot in the room. Other than that i’d say this hotel is perfect for a relaxing family holiday.
