Apollon Hotel

Hotel is absolutely lovely…. Really clean and modern. Housekeeping was to a very high standard with lovely little touches such as pretty towel art. Food is excellent…. So much choice at every meal time. Themed dining evenings too… Chinese night was particularly good. Friendly staff too … prepared to go the extra mile especially the reception staff. We arrived around 8:45pm and the receptionist suggested we go in for dinner then and there as there was only 15 minutes left and we could check in afterwards. Room was small but beautifully done, great bathroom with a walk in shower and balcony was huge. We had a garden view room so very quiet. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back

Lots of pros about this hotel, but a few cons that ruined the experience a bit for me. Rooms were great. Clean, comfy, cool, mini fridge provided, shower and bathroom were immaculate. However no one explained the cleaners "button" to us, so we were woken up every morning by cleaners attempting to come in our room. not their fault of course, and we did sleep in later than most do on holiday. but we didn't really have an introduction to the hotel, its facilities, rules, and there was not much advice about the local area, except for specific sightseeing. Another thing that killed this holiday for me, was the pool closed at 6pm. its far too crowded in the day, as the pool is too small for the complex, and there aren't anywhere near enough sunbeds. if you're not out early, they are taken or reserved by towels. we woild be lucky to get sunbeds at 5pm, and at that point, the pool is only open for another hour. I think it should be open later for people that want to avoid the harsh sun, but still want to enjoy the pool. also be very careful when booking your room type, while I imagine they are all as clean and comfy as ours was, some are right by the pool, which we can imagine would be very loud, some are quite isolated, which is nice, unless you want to be able to see the pool/what's going on. also the outside area you can get with certain rooms isn't very private at all. making it a bit awkward with the neighbours, and depending where your room is, you might not get any sun. We went all inclusive, and we're dissapointed by the food. we weren't expecting gourmet, but most food wasnt even labelled for you to know what it was. also didn't think the quality or range of food was anywhere near 4 stars. so we rarely used the restaurant which we paid for as all inclusive. Last thing that I struggled with, with this hotel, is lack of information. No welcome booklet explaining times, rules, food selection, facilities etc, also no access to leaflets for taxi numbers and no access to uber. I know I've moaned a lot, but i didn't expect to have to face some of the issues we did, for the price we paid. The rooms and staff were lovely, facilities were good, just mainly food, lack of space at pool, and lack of information made the holiday a bit of a stress. If I was you, i wouldn't go all inclusive. Rooms were fab, but i would eat elsewhere. also research the local area b3fore you go, so you aren't left in the lerch like we were, with no leaflets or guides, except for boat cruises.

What a wonderful experience holidaying at the Apollon. From the professional approach from the ladies at reception to the cleanliness' and wonderful staff, who made our stay amazing. There is a Greek tax to pay on arrival . The room (405) was cleaned daily with a few nice touches, modern, spacious with a large balcony facing the pool, within easy walking distance of the reception , bar and restaurant. Towels were 2 euros a day if you didn't want to bring your own, fresh and soft. The pool area is spacious and every day we could get sunbeds Having not done all inclusive before i was stunned with the standard of food, so much choice for every sitting with a world-wide choice. never full, so easy to get a seat, staff so helpful, the manager overseeing every day, excellent !!! The pool bar was busy but service was fast with a smile, the staff worked so hard. The draught lager wasn't the best so i actually paid 5 euros for Mythos on the odd occasion. Location is good with a few local bars with a 25 minute walk to Kos town, Lambi beach is 5 min stroll but a nicer beach towards Kos town(Kouros) is better with some doing free sunbeds and waiter service. There is a sister hotel a 2 minute stroll away for use, which we did read about initially when booking but only discovered on our last day. The reason for this is there is no information anywhere we could see about this and about meal times, towels, bar opening and closing times, outside food, etc, maybe a leaflet in the room in future. Also there is no entertainment after your evening meal, we didn't want acts or mad entertainment at all, but maybe a singer in the back ground would improved our nightly relax This is a very relaxing hotel, we loved it !!! All in all a very special and memorable week spent at the Apollon. Thank you to all the staff

Spotlessly clean ,lovely rooms ,good food ,wine shocking . Staff not overly friendly need to get up early to get a sun bed , no atmosphere on evening some sort of musician would have made a difference a pleasant stay but found a week long enough
