We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow which was spacious and clean. However as we were on the ground floor we had no view which was a shame. The bedrooms were air conditioned but the living room was not which meant we did not really use it. The air conditioning controls for the bedrooms were rather complicated and difficult to find the setting we needed. The hotel grounds were beautiful with lots of lovely plants and flowers and the main hotel building was lovely. The beach was convenient (although across a road which could be tricky with younger children) but the sand was very dirty and gritty. We didn't mind the stones and boulders as we wore water shoes but the litter including cigarette butts was unpleasant. There was a lot of smoking around the hotel. We didn't sit around the hotel in the evenings after dinner because the seating area outside was quite cramped and when we tried it we were engulfed in smoke. The pool was lovely. Refreshing but not too cold but at times the music was far too loud to the point where I couldn't even hear what I was trying to listen to through my headphones. The animation team were great though and really friendly. The staff in the dining room and at reception were always lovely but some of the older bar staff were the opposite. Rude and off hand which was a shame. Overall though a great holiday and the kids loved it!

Stayed for the first time in October 2024 at the Sovereing Beach Hotel. We loved it so much that we are planning to go back. We had a beautifu swim up bungalow, which made our holiday even more relaxing. The facilities are great, the food is amazing particularly fish if you like it. I am coeliac and every day the met Tanya called the chef to show me which food I was able to eat and I never had any issues. The beach is sandy and not far there from the hotel's tavern were you can get Gyros, hamburghers, hotdogs, chips, drinks, coffee and tea without going to the main pool area. The bungalow swim up pool was amazing, clean and well kept. There is entertainment every night, we loved the show of the 3 South Africa's girls. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it. Wait for us Sovereigh beach as we are coming back!!!!

Arrived about 9pm, reception staff ok, advised restaurant closing at 9 so go and get some food Checked in, was aware of the tax to pay but was wanting to pay by card. Was told as it goes to government has to be paid in cash. Would point out in all other hotels I have stayed in Kos, have always paid by card. 70e a lot to pay especially when there is no way this is 5* - probably 3, maybe 4. Was then directed to room and told to follow signs - now the bungalow was 69 - check the sign, which way would you go ??? Maybe it would be a good idea to have a map to hand out or when you scan the QR code. No one pointed out at check in where things were, and I knew nothing about the towels until I read it here - nothing on the QR code screen. Also I refuse to pay for a safe in a 5* hotel. Rooms - was ok, swim up room, sun beds heavy and difficult to move as the sun moves round. Chairs were dirty / stained and didn’t fancy sitting on them. Shower doesn’t drain quickly and no matter what angle the shower points at half the water ends up over the bathroom area. Smell of sewage in the area throughout the whole week. Recycling bins around, not many other bins Food - like most hotels all inclusive all the same. Omelette man didn’t seem happy, maybe been a long season or just not a morning person - in the wrong job then. Stay generally good in the restaurant. Found it weird that I couldn’t get a tea or coffee at lunch or dinner. Machines there but covered up. Also, drinks are all self service. For 5*, I would expect table service for breakfast tea/coffee and wine/beer in lunch and dinner. Taverna food not good, had the Club Gyras (I think that’s what it was called) was lukewarm, greasy and once again the guy who served it was not a happy chappy. Bars - staff really miserable. Similar to the omelette man, don’t work in customer facing roles. Similar hotels offer table service for drinks but here you have to go to bar. Seems hotel are really scrimping on staff to cut costs. Entertainment - limited, unsure what was happening where (e.g karaoke was in the outside theatre, never saw the disco 10:30-1100). I would say, the restaurant staff are generally happy and very helpful Also if you advertise as a 5* make it one. There are a lot of changes needed both in staff and amenities/ facilities to make it 5*

Overall the hotel was lovely, me and my friends all 20 years old had our first holiday by ourselves here! The only downside being the drinks service stops at 11pm and they turn the outside seating area lights off! The staff were very friendly and overall good! A big shoutout to the entertainment girls! My biggest complaint would be the bartender who flirted to the point I felt uncomfortable going to get drinks (as a young girl with no parents/relatives present) this bartender was called Samuel, at first it was harmless but it soon turned into him shouting my name from the bar and getting his co workers to do so too. If I didn’t go to the bar when he called he would come and hover around my sun bed trying to talk to me! Luckily we had made some friends whilst on the holiday and soon after he left me alone probably because he knew he wouldn’t be able to get away with it any longer!

Mel who worked in bar and taverna bar in daytime used to smoke constantly inside the premises . In the hotel bar even sat under the no smoking sign Also late in the evening they used to serve drinks in plastic glasses as the allegedly didn't have enough glass ones left (hotel was less than 1/4 of capacity ) Food in resturant was mostly in edible tasteless cold and quite greasy No variety on salads bar no tuna and ham was only available at breakfast time Too much food pre prepared in advance lots of it burned but yet still cold inside There were very few Bins around pool area so cups etc were blowing around Ice cream by pool generally runny Music was a bit hap hazard and the non family friendly versions played Very dark in reception and bar areas very dated back drop on bar looks like a 1920s church No lights behind bar . No snacks available after meal 9pm if you arrived after that there was very little to go at Mini bar 1 bottle of water ? No do not disturb signs Drinks at meals soft drinks not a great deal of taste but very sugary Beer very gassy Spirits in bar a bit on the weak side Sunbeds not cleaned Gardens were ok apart from a couple of areas were dead I get that the room tax is €10 per room per night however I do not believe it is a 5 or 4 maybe a lucky 3 star I am not happy I couldn't get a receipt for the tax and also I have never paid €40 for a room safe for 1 week in a 4 or 5 star hotel Other than that we met some lovely people who made our holiday

Very basic room which not cleaned very well. Charge for some kind of tax which was requested in cash, so should have been aware. Charged for room safe, which could not get to set my own code. Most staff pleasant but bar staff very miserable. Exceptional entertainment done by the girls on site but one night for external boy guitar singer was useless and actually sent gusts early to bed.

We stayed at the Sovereign Beach at the beginning of October and had a fab time. We had an apartment on the second floor overlooking the swim up rooms with amazing views of the stunning grounds, the pool area, the beach and the fields beyond where the pony trekking went across and hundreds of goats! The food was good we liked how they had different nationality themed nights to give variation on choice. They cooked fresh pizzas in a stone baked oven at the back of the restaurant which were so nice and we absolutely loved having fresh gyros at the beach taverna. We like to go for a walk on holiday have a look around the shops and go for drinks, we walked on the beach front into Kardamena which took us about 15 minutes. At night when we went in we did sometimes walk back or grab a taxi for 7 euros Overall we had a fantastic holiday, the only feedback for improvement for us would be that the evenings were really quiet at the hotel. Although they had the odd show on that was around an hour. For an all inclusive hotel it perhaps would be nice for some music in the bar. But that’s not a complaint and we would certainly rebook to return.

We chose this hotel after reading mainly good or excellent reviews. Our experience and that of many of the people we met on our holiday there did not live up to expectations. The hotel is run down and poorly maintained. There are several loose and damaged tiles with sharp edges in communal areas. Access to many areas for anyone in a wheelchair is very difficult. Food was often cold, surprising as it sits on hot plates that cause burning in a small central area of the serving dishes. Our jacuzzi was dirty when we arrived and was never cleaned, it had a faulty control panel causing It to switch on at random times. We didn’t trust it enough to use it. The drinks cabinet in our room didn’t work in spite of us asking for it to be repaired or replaced. There is no drinking water in the room and we were expected to purchase bottled water. Our room, luckily, had a kettle but many other guests complained that their rooms didn’t. Expect to pay extra for a safe, beach towels and the tourist tax IN CASH when you check in. Smells around the hotel were often nauseating. Good points, staff were very friendly and hard working. Special shout out to the two girls doing entertainment with very little training or supervision. They were truly amazing but won’t be there next year.
