Great location. Great staff. Great pool. Nice breakfast. However we experienced low water pressure several times and a blocked drain. Also the shower wasn’t great. Overall though we had a lovely time at Hermes Hotel and we would stay there again

Near the end of season but that's no reason to shut or not provide facilities such as poolside bar food and drink. Lady serving at the pool bar (Christina I think) spent most her time on the phone shouting at whomever she was speaking too and making customers wait until she finished her call ,very poor .

What a fabulous run family hotel,simple but fab if you want a quiet break. A pull up the hill so don't consider it if your elderly/infirm.only downside is no food available in the evening so either down or up that hill although demitri will sort you a lift up the hill. Thankyou to the family also nic,demitri,spiros and katarina

Our holiday was changed by Easyjet to Hermes hotel. We had stayed here many years ago so knew the location and the number of steps in this property. As well as steps there are ramps to walk up. We managed these okay and they provided a bit of a work out every day. The hotel is lovely, great staff at reception, breakfast and also the cleaning team were excellent ensuring our room was clean and fresh around 10.30 every day which as early risers was great for us. We were in room 312 which had a superb view of the sea with Kastri island and the little church in the distance. The breakfast had plenty of variety as previous reviewers have mentioned and also some days we had lovely warmed chocolate croissants to enjoy. The pool area is well maintained with enough sunbeds and shades. The pool bar serves reasonably priced snacks and a range of drinks. We were more than happy with our room and as Easyjet customers the aircon was included in the price. I took a travel kettle as I enjoy an early morning cuppa. Also, if you like to handwash some light items you need to take a clothes hanger. We stay regularly in the resort of Kefalos which is welcoming and friendly. Plenty of choice with local tavernas in the resort and up in the hilltop village. We loved Maria's taverna, Maria's bar, Memories bar, Skorpios taverna ( also has an Asian menu ), Kampos and Rainbow taverna. Already looking forward to returning here . Thank you to the Hermes hotel for making our stay a memorable one.

We spent two weeks at the Hermes in Kefalos and we were impressed by the wonderful large swimming pool which was warm and very clean there were always sun loungers available at the pool and the snack bar at the pool was good too with a range of food and drink at reasonable prices. The room we had was very simple and basic but was kept very clean. The housekeeping was excellent. The location would not be suitable for people with mobility issues since there are a lot of stairs.

This was our second time to the hotel and we were very disappointed as were many other guests On arrival at night we were directed to our room and on opening the door our smiles disappeared The room smelt very musty, and the furniture is very tired, only two of the lights worked and the lamp shade was held together by staples On entering the bathroom we were shocked how poor it was, the shower is a tray in the corner with a old stained shower curtain which was about 3 inches short which caused the bathroom to flood when you had a cold shower in the morning or late at night. Be careful not to get water on the fluorescent light over the rusty mirror over the sink The plus side to the room was that the bins were emptied daily On the food breakfast was the same every day with cereal bread ham cheese and eggs Some times the bread was stale The food at the poolside bar in the daytime was very good All the areas around the pool were lovely and clean but the entrance is littered with empty cat food packets from everyone feeding the cats and kittens The hotel is a little uphill from the main resort which wasn’t a problem but it’s quite a busy road with no pavements We travelled with Jet 2 and the hotel is rated as a 3 star but they need to review this as its only a two star at best
