Summer Village of Hippokrates - Adults Only

Out of all the holidays over the past twenty six years, Summer village Hippocrates has to be the best hotel that we have stayed at! So much attention to detail with the cleaning being to a very high standard! The staff are all really friendly and always helpful. There was a good range of food if you like meat or fish, but we are vegetarians and at the start of our stay, there was really mostly just salad or lovely well cooked Aubergines (my favourite) I did mention a couple of times that we were veggie and there was an effort made to include some hot vegetarian option such as vegetable pie pasta with cheese sauce that you could ladle over it. The rooms all had pools that was shared by a maximum of around twenty people as there were lots of pools for this purpose and it was fantastic. The other guests when we were there were mostly German or Polish but all lovely. I also booked a massage which was fantastic by a lovely young lady called Lina, and I would definitely reccomend her.❤ There is a place across the road that hires beach buggies ect. The hotel is in a quiet area do this is a good idea , but there is a bus service approx three hundred meters away that takes you to Kos town. This is a family run hotel and they are very lovely hard working people that will do everything to make your stay the best. I fully intend to book for next year. Another highlight for us us that it is an ADULTS ONLY hotel which was really important to us. Our kids are all vrown up so just wanted the atmosphere to be for grownups.🙂

Overall my boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay here! Rooms: we just had a standard room and it was really nice - enough space, large balcony and modern decor and comfy beds. There was a safe and shampoo etc. Cleanliness: our room was clean and the hotel in general was very well kept Food: the food overall was really nice however as the hotel is fairly small the buffet was quite small. Breakfast and Dinner were always tasty however lunch was sometimes a little disappointing. It was all good traditional Greek food (not for picky eaters!) but we like all food so we enjoyed it all. The meat was always well cooked and there was a wide range of salads/sides. Pool: We were round the regular pool and there was never any competition for sun beds and there was some in shade and some in sun. It was a lovely pool and sun beds were comfy - we would say bring your own towels as it’s a deposit and €2 change charge. Drinks: drinks were generally nice however cocktails etc were an extra charge but not too expensive if you did want one. There is a shop across the road if you need anything and also a motor rental. We visited Kos Town and Zia on our stay and booked taxis/restaurants via the reception and they were usually around €25 for a 25min journey (you can pay cash or card) we also walked down to marmari beach and went to a tiki bar which was lovely (around a 20min walk) Overall I would say it’s a great reasonably priced hotel and to ignore the picky reviews

Perfect if you want an isolated ,quiet location. No daytime entertainment, very quiet around pool areas. Basic evening entertainment. Food was good, we managed to find something to eat in restaurant breakfast, lunch,dinner. Staff very pleasant and polite. Snack bar opened 4pm where you were charged for food. Occasionally at bar some fruit and pastries available. Very basic drinks at bar. I asked for some Grenadine to be added to a vodka and sprite was quoted €4 for a dash. Cocktails were lovely Yanis that made them was very attentive to detail.shame they were not part of AI. Rooms were spotless we had the nicest friendliest of maids. Location of hotel was so remote 15mins walk to beach,10mins walk up country road to get bus to kos town .Taxi service poor 1hour wait.small shop across from hotel. Perfect place if you want some peace and quiet.

We spent a week's holiday here at the end of June. The area is quiet, almost boring, and you won't find any entertainment in the area during the day and certainly not in the evening. A separate chapter is the all-inclusive. The food in the restaurant is okay, but as for the afternoon snacks and drinks at the bar, it is an absolute fiasco. Obviously the hotel would like to work up a level, but in some aspects I would hardly rate it 2*. The worst experience for us was the cockroaches in the room. We demanded a room change but the staff didn't care. Apparently this is a common thing at the hotel, because they had a spray right at the front desk that kills these insects. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

We spent a week's holiday in the hotel, which was unfortunately spoiled by the hotel's behaviour and especially by the cockroaches in the room. I have travelled a lot in the world but to have to hunt cockroaches at night is bad. The hotel was not willing to change our room. My girlfriend almost didn't sleep some nights because she is afraid of such big insects. The hotel is far from the sea, there is no entertainment in the area, you can only go to the shop...
