Pool Area: The pool area is well-maintained, with ample sunbeds available despite occasional reservations by early risers. Guests enjoyed the addition of pool toys, a baby pool, and a jacuzzi. The relaxed atmosphere around the pool was a key highlight.

We are family of 4 with a 16 year old and 19 year old and we had a great time staying at Aegean Houses 😁 The pool is the hub of the hotel along with the bar and restaurant, which directly overlook the pool. There is pool side service too and without exception, all the staff are really friendly and attentive; we went down to the bar area every morning for an iced coffee and orange juice and after about 2 days, we didn’t need to ask - the waitress just brought over our drinks!! We were each in a 1 bedroom apartment, which was clean and tidy - the showers are really good being spacious with good flow of water. The beds were firm, but comfortable. The air con is controlled by a panel on the wall and the air con comes out of vents in the kitchen and in the bedroom; the air con can only be set to as low as 20 degrees but this was perfectly adequate and we noticed the room temperature got down to 19 degrees; basically, the air con is good. If you open any of the doors to a balcony however, the air con turns off after about 10 seconds, but closing them again makes the air con come back on automatically after about a minute. You can also use the control panel to tell house keeping to ‘Do Not Disturb’ - it sets a little display unit outside the front door. Our TV had BBC world news, Sky News and some other European channels and Netflix - you have to log into your Netflix account each time you turn the TV on. The WiFi is good throughout the hotel including by the pool - very important for our 16 and 19 year old! The kids pool is 0.35m deep and the main pool starts shallow at 0.90m and steadily graduates to the deeper end, which is 1.36m. It is the usual laws of reserving sun loungers of sticking your towel on it - they’ve generally all got a towel on them by 9am - 9:30am. The restaurant food is excellent with an extensive menu and we had lunch several times during our stay. There is a basic supermarket next door, but there is a better one a 2 minute walk away called Konstantinos and this is fully air conditioned and the shelves are well stocked with all your standard grocery needs; they also have an on-site bakery. The staff are friendly and speak good English. We bought the majority of our snacks, fruit and water from here. However, if you want more of an upmarket experience, then there is a grocery shop called AB which is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel - this has alot more choice of food and toiletries and also has an on-site bakery; the air con was good here too! The walk into Kos Town is a casual 20 minute walk or a brisk 15 minute walk - the most direct route is just straight down the main road that the hotel is on. There are some great Tavernas near the hotel - we particularly liked Istros and there are actually plenty more of them after about a 10 minute walk towards Kos town so you don’t actually need to walk into Kos town to eat at good tavernas. Amazing place spotless. Staff are superb so helpful. First time to Greece couldn’t be made more welcome. You cannot find fault in this accommodation, every part was a 5* experience. Excellent food & breakfast I have not ever seen this amount of selection to suit anyone’s palette fabulous. A big thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so special.
