Akti Palace Hotel

Loved everything about the Akti Palace (room, staff, food, cleanliness), except the sunbeds. They were far too low and difficult to get on and off and very uncomfortable (no cushions and metal framed made it extremely hard, to lie on, for any length of time).

Everything was so nice! And the therapist was a very nice guy and also very professional! I really liked it! I really recommend it!

Overall the stay has been great. The rooms are clean, and have air con. The bathrooms as others have said, a bit dated, however manageable. Shame that finding beds at the pool became increasingly hard as summer hokidays ave started getting into full swing, and have had to resort to getting down early to claim any beds at all. (By 8:30 all beds by pool are claimed). Hotel is lovely and quiet, entertainment options good. The staff are friendly. Special shout out to George who man's the outside restaurant area, he works tirelessly, always smiling, always happy to help. And Special recognition to Joanna from the spa, who delivered the best massage I have ever had. Thanks for the great holiday, would return again!

We are just back from an 11 night stay at this fab hotel. From the minute we arrived at midnight we were made to feel welcome by Marios at reception and George in the restaurant (who also helped us to our room). Our room was lovely, big and clean. Only one negative - not enough drawers for all the clothes we brought. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. Sheets were changed a couple of times throughout our stay. The buffet restaurant had plenty of choice and was always delicious. There are speciality restaurants available to try too, but can't comment as we didnt bother booking. You could also use the restaurant/facilities at Akti Beach Hotel next door. There was a shuttle bus into town from early morning until late evening which was a great service. The pool was lovely and big. We didn't have a problem getting sunbeds, but we're early birds and down there from 8am. However, we never saw anyone struggling to get a sunbed throughout the day. We didn't use the beach, but went to look. There were plenty of sunbeds, and looked lovely. The pool bar is great. You can get drinks and snacks there all day long. That's also where the entertainment was at night. We saw a great selection of singers and participated in music quiz too. The Lagouna bar, just beside the buffet restaurant, was lovely to sit after dinner and chill. The staff, without exception, were all fabulous. They were all very friendly and nothing was too much bother. The reception staff, all the Georges in the restaurant, Stefanos, aka Big Narcos, Big Chris, Natella, Mzai, Natalia, Stella & Omar to name but a few. It was also really lovely to see senior managers helping out and talking and encouraging their staff. We also used the spa a couple of times, pure bliss. Would we go back? Yes, we're already looking. Is it 5 star? Probably not quite. Would we have had a better holiday if it was, I don't think so.
