Mitsis Family Village

I was a little unsure of this hotel when we arrived but we have all had a fantastic holiday our little boy is autistic we were able to order pizza for the night time the restaurant staff are friendly and welcoming the lifeguard was absolutely fantastic with him makeing balloon animals and always on hand to help where needed rooms are very big and clean beds we found very comfortable only downside is the steps to the pool and the steps or the steep road back to the room we will definitely be back.

My partner & I stayed at the 4* Mitsis Family Beach Hotel, Kardamena for 10 days. It was one of 5 Hotels in a whole village of Mitsis Hotels. We arrived at the Hotel & check in was very straightforward and easy, we were shown to our room & our bags were taken for us to our room. A little warning, this Hotel, in fact all 5 Hotels in this village are on a very steep hill. The room was a large family room & was very clean & well presented, it had a lovely view out to sea from the balcony. The maid did a great job everyday making the bed & cleaning the room. The food at the Hotel is of a good standard, lots of different meals to choose from at breakfast, lunch & evening meals, occasionally a little repetitive but good food, if you can't find something to eat here at every meal, you must be very fussy. There is also a crepe station where you can get savoury or sweet crepes all day long, they are also very good. The Hotel pool area is of a good size, the only thing that lets it down are the sun beds, don't get me wrong there are lots of them to go around & no getting out of bed at 6am to get a bed either, but they are just not very comfortable (personal choice, I know). There is a buggy that will take you down to the beach & back up to the Hotel and this runs all day long from I think 10am to 6pm in the evening & the driver does a great job, Thank you. The evening Entertainment is around the pool area and I can honestly say, we enjoyed all of the entertainment, even though they are entertaining a multi national audience, they were all very good. All of the staff at this Hotel are amazing, they do such a great job, always smiling & can't do enough for you, they make this Hotel even better. Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay at your Hotel a wonderful experience. The Mitsis Family Beach Hotel upgraded us on our last day to their sister 5* Hotel, Mitsis Norida Hotel next door, which was really good of them, they took us and all our lugguage down to their sister hotel. We had a fabulous two storey room overlooking the sea, with our lounge downstairs and our bedroom upstairs & two bathrooms, beautiful. This Hotel had several pool areas & was right on the beach, but still a bit hilly. They also had 3 A La Carte restaurants to choose from. We ate in the A La Carte restaurant for lunch and managed to get in to the Asia A La Carte restaurant in the evening. The food in the A La Carte was amazing, so delicous and great to be served too. The entertainment in the evening was also very good, but have to get there early to get a seat, unfortunately we didn't get there early enough, but never mind. Had a great nights sleep & went down to breakfast and what a fantastic choice you get in the main buffet restaurant, again so much choice, had to walk round a couple of times before making my choice of breakfast. We would highly recommend either of these two Hotels, we had such an amazing time staying with them for our 10 day holiday, thank you, we will

(Likes) Stunning views. Weather. Room was clean and comfortable. Good size pool. Plenty of sunbeds. Really nice cocktails and mixer drinks. Helpful staff in general. (Dislikes) Brits drinking too much and kicking off. food is pretty uninspiring. Usually no change of pool towels unavailable Beer on draught poor. Cheapy sunbeds with no padding.

We stayed at this hotel for one night back a few years ago due to a cancelled flight, so when we was looking for our yearly holiday to Kos for this year and this hotel came up at a good price we thought we’d give it ago. We’ve stayed in a couple of the mitsis hotels so we had high standards. When we arrived we were checked in and shown to our room very quickly which was great but the room was so run down , it was a massive room but just so empty. The mini bar was a nice touch, it gets refilled every two days and the selection isn’t to bad, it would have been nice if maybe there was some sort of wine in it though but the bottles beer in had a strong fish like odour when you opened it up… The first night we stayed here we went into dinner very hungry and left very disappointed, my partner is a vegetarian and all they had to offer was some cold chips and a “veggie pie” that half way through eating it they were convinced it was meat as a meat eater myself I didn’t find the food to bad but it just never seemed to be hot and things like potatoes and rice always seemed to be undercooked. I’m not sure how the food standards work in other places to the uk but nothing ever seemed to be labelled correctly and things like the salads and the pasta on the pasta station were never labelled so most of the time you never really knew what you was eating. So after this we spent the rest of the week getting the bus into kardamena and going out for food. The first night we slept in the room we come back to the bed completely covered in red ants we debated if we should have told reception but it was late and we were tired so we got rid of them ourselves , but every morning and every night there would always be a small amount of ants in the bed that we had to remove. The beach hooper bus is a lovely touch because walking up and down big hills in the heat isn’t nice to do at all. The sun-beds at the beach and at the pool are very uncomfortable and hit and miss if you find one that isn’t broken and the life guard for this hotel would just moan to your about anything and everything, he even spotted us in kardamena one night and started moaning to us again, to which we just had to walk off and ignore him. The hotel drinks were meh the wine, beer and Prosecco were fine but the cocktails and the soft drinks were just like something we’d never tasted , the soft drinks all just tasted like very cheap diet drinks no matter which one you ordered and the cocktails never tasted like what they were claiming to be…. The pizza at the beach was great , very hot fresh and always served quickly, but the other snack bar on the beach wasn’t so great, the lady running it was lovely and always so polite but it got so busy people were standing around for ages to be given the most basic sandwich. We managed to get late check out until 6 which was great because there’s nothing worse than having to check out at 12 and then having to wait around for hours without a room before your flight a

We booked this for a 3nt stay as had a family wedding close by and we wanted an alternative hotel. We’d heard a lot about the Mitsis brand offering affordable luxury in the All Inclusive market. I think the name is really misleading as I was expecting a more expansive resort (as it’s called a village) and expected some decent family facilities but this is really lacking. The kids club is beyond basic, there isn’t a particularly suitable family pool, the park is tiny and tue water slides aren’t in the best condition. Given the price we paid and that only here for 3nts it was OK but we would have been really disappointed if this was for a week long family holiday. Maybe other Mitsis are better than this one. The niggles we had; The rooms are really outdated at this hotel, very old fashioned. Only one restaurant which is always buffet. No housekeeping on our first day. Had to argue for towels each morning as they never had enough. We’d booked a taxi for the wedding- never turned up. Reception staff friendliness hit and miss
