White Olive Marine Aquapark

I’m going to start off with how amazing our holiday was the White Olive Marine Aqua Park. We arrived at about half 1/2pm in the afternoon and within minutes of arriving, we were provided with our bands and directed to the food hall so that we could grab some lunch. The reception staff was lovely and very welcoming to us throughout the whole of our stay. We stayed between the 20th of July to the 28th of July. I have to admit I was a little worried at first about this holiday, as I had read some of the negative and quite frankly unfair reviews that had been provided. And can honestly say, I’m not sure what hotel these people were staying at, but we certainly did not experience any of the things that had been reported by reviewers on here. We were provided with information leaflets about what the restaurant times were, activity times and so on. This included information about the €10 refundable deposit required for a safety box. Which we did use, as I always do when travelling abroad. We didn’t require any pool towels as we had brought our own. But again this was all detailed in the information leaflet. Read the small print, it’s there and for all to see. This leads me on to the cocktails, again all included until 11pm, after this they are charged at €4. This is not hidden information and is accessible all around the bars on the menu’s. There was lots to choose from when it came to food and we certainly didn’t go hungry, my daughter is ASD and ADHD and she was able to eat throughout the holiday. The food was lovely, my only feedback would be that food in my opinion could have been hotter. But others may not agree. The roof top restaurant is included, get booked in for a night, the food is delicious! Compliments to the chefs again for such a fantastic dinner! All of the restaurant staff work hard at making their guest stay enjoyable and comfortable and really do work their socks off! The cleaning staff are amazing and so friendly! Every morning we were greeted with smiles and hellos, making this a lovely start to each morning we encountered them while working. Our room was always spotless and very well cleaned during our stay here. I wasn’t sure about the water situation, but you do get a bottle of water on arrival. We didn’t seem to get a replenishment of that, however there are plenty of water stations available for you to refill the bottle. I’d like to make a special compliment to the lady on guest services, who we chatted to often when we saw her. She and like the other members of staff we met, really did make our stay a truly memorable one. So much so, we’re still talking about it! I did give a little feedback about the pool side bar, in regards to adding some non slip mats around the food area, as those at times did become quite wet with children and adults going up to queue for the pizza and other food provided during the snack times, making this area a slip hazard. Having read some terrible reviews before travelling here, I was expecting the worst. However it was a good holiday. Pools were perfect for my 2 kids. Room was fine; A/C kept it cool, it was cleaned every day and towels changed. Yes, if you wanted a decent speck you’d have to get up early and put your towels out. Especially if you wanted a few beds. We only tended to save 3 as it was enough so didn’t have to get up at silly o’clock. Food, what you’d expect for a 4* all inclusive catering for many different people with different tastes….. I consider myself a fairly fussy eater but I didn’t struggle to eat. Yes it was sometimes repetitive but if you don’t have a plate full of everything on offer for that evening you could easily vary what you eat day to day. Personally I would skip the a la carte, staff quite abrupt, border line rude and food wasn’t great. Husband was happy with the beer, as was I. I tended to go to the bar and asked for a larger and lime as that’s what I drink at home. I also drank Malibu and Pineapple which was nice. Entertainment was okay. It wasn’t the worst, wasn’t the best. Kids disco was popular and all the kids seemed to enjoy it, including mine. All in all it was a okay holiday. What I would expect from an all inclusive to be fair.
