The welcome at reception was great and we had high hopes for our stay at Aminess Port 9 but ultimately came away thinking this hotel was decidedly average.  After checking in we headed straight to the pool and soon realised why it wasn’t busier - it was freezing! We had booked half board, breakfast and dinner were fine with lots of options but the coffee wasn’t great and no fresh juice.  It would have been nice to have tap water offered with dinner.  My son particularly enjoyed the multimedia room but it was only open from 1-7pm.

Nice resort only 5min water taxi from old town and 8-10min drive to wineries. There is a grocery store right across the street which is handy. The lady who runs the rentals on site is very good and fast to get things done. The small pool gets very busy and does not have much seating. They charge to use the chairs at the beach even if you stay at the hotel. The buffet breakfast was good, but very busy. There is a small, much more relaxed (rocky) beach 4min walk from the resort.

Butlins on steroids. This is a resort not a hotel. One pool that opens at 9am, queues to get in and a brawl to get a lounger. Even if your lucky to get a sundbed or two be ready to have your morning relaxing by the pool disturbed by the activity team with a boom box and aqua aerobics. Food…. School meals spring to mind, nothing fresh or appealing. Lunch - two places available for lunch and if you like burgers and chips or nuggets and chips fill your boots. Resort not as described by Jet 2 - 9 bars - only one open which hosts children’s entertainment each evening until 9pm and closes at 10pm. There is a second pool, however limited umbrellas so you will bake in the hot sun. Beach - well this is small and you have to pay extra for a sun lounger which unless you get there by 7am they will all have gone. Oh the wasps…. You cannot eat outside for fear of being stung. So if you want a resort with a campsite, mobile caravans, hotels and one small pool and one bar open in and fancy queuing for the pool, the food and listening to baby shark every evening then this is the resort for you. If you thought about relaxing in an infinity pool, with fresh food/fresh fish on the menu walk away.

Family of 3, husband and wife with 14 year old son. Flew from Birmingham to Dubrovnik via Jet 2. Flights all good. Transfer using the Jet2 coach was ok, information given from the jet 2 rep covers Dubrovnik not Korcula and no telephone numbers to contact the rep and they don’t visit Pot 9 resort…… On arrival in resort, all was good. Room was clean, with aircon, balcony etc. Food is buffet style, selection poor, very busy and runs out of food two hours into the sittings, do not replace all food just some basics, sit outside and it’s full of wasps. Jet 2 advertise 7 bars and restaurants. There isn’t. And the ones that are open, close pretty early. Beach bar by 10pm however has mini disco or children entertainers until 9pm so if you want to listen to baby shark whilst trying to relax fill your boots.. The infinity pool…. Well that doesn’t open until 9am, and the queue to get in is huge, it becomes a mad rush when it finally opened. No chance of getting a lounger around the pool unless you were part of this crowd, even more so if you required a few together for your family. Even if you are lucky to get a lounger be prepared for the pool aerobics to be going with music blasting most of the morning. the small beach at the shore of the resort. Again, it was mobbed. You have to pay for sun loungers, Water taxi is 3 euros per person to the Old Town. You can walk to the Old Town, about 30 mins, but it has a few hills, and isn’t to be underestimated in the middle of the day. After the first day we thought we’d try the Salt Water pool, It’s better but not many parasols so again unless you are there very early with your towels you’re left to bake in the sun. It appears to be drained every few days and water replaced was empty on day 1, this is All well and good, but puts even more strain on the main pool. By day 3 we had worked out why the pools/beach were sooooo busy. It is because everyone, from the hotel, to the self catering residences, to the campsite, to the campervans…. All have complete access to the facilities. This means they are over-run every day. In short, this resort is ideal for campers who have young families. Certainly not teenagers or older people. It’s so bad we are trying to leave half way through our stay. Reception don’t care and Jet 2 don’t seem to care either. No way of getting hold of any representative in resort. Call the UK and they just take details and say it can take 48 hours by which time we will be heading home. In short do not book unless you have small kids and want a butlins on steroids style holiday with burgers and chips on the menu as that’s all you can get for lunch at the only two restaurants open at lunch time at the resort. It is nothing like Jet 2 advertise.

We had the most amazing time the apartment was clean we had clean towels each day had our beds changed when we asked We had to use the pullout bed which was ok we put it away during the day as we traveled will 3 or our children to give us more room this was not a problem and easy to do Amazing swimming in the sea from the rocks our children did use the pools too The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 as there was no vegan food available at the resort not evan milk substitutes But we bought oat milk from the shop across the road

We arrived by ferry at the old town port with a view to walking to the resort but its too far, we opted to pay for a taxi (16 Euros) but we should have taken the taxi boat (3 Euros PP) as it takes you direct to the jetty at the resort. We had a warm welcome at reception and whilst our room wasn't ready we were given towel cards and directed to the pool why we waited. Within an hour we had a call from reception saying our room was now available which was very good as it was still earlier than official check in time. We stayed in a self catering apartment and was on the upper floor with a partial view of the pool which suited us as the rooms directly overlooking the pool weren't very private. The rooms are basic and a little tired (nothing like the images on their website) but were adequate for our stay. There is a small kitchen in the dining area with a sofa settee in the same room which would be very cramped if it was used, the main bedroom is a separate room with a small wardrobe and dressing table but no double bed which was disappointing. The other down side with the separate bedroom is that the air con unit is in the dining room so it has to be on full with the bedroom door open to get the benefit of it. The rooms don't have a safe for your valuables either. There is a large patio though which was a plus point although if you were in a ground floor room they aren't very private. Lots of guests come here in cars and park in weird places so they don't have to walk far which does cause access issues around the apartments. There are 2 pool areas, the main pool which is an infinity pool with a bar but is very crowded and noisy and the quieter saltwater pools in front of the apartments. We preferred this as its definitely quieter and has much more space around the loungers, be warned though it is a very heavily salted pool and very cold. As a resort its a campsite, a hotel, self catering apartments and lodges so does have a strange feel to it as its a mixture of everything. The resort grounds are in need of some TLC and generally looks very untidy and unloved, the sea front promenade is quite pleasant though with the taxi boat to the old town easily accessible on the jetty. You can also do the Hop On Hop Off boat trip from here which is well worth doing especially as its only 20 Euros PP. The walk into the old town is a good 45 minute walk and fairly flat with the exception of 1 steep hill on the way back but offers some nice views across the bay so worth doing even if you get the taxi boat back. There is also a large Konzum Supermarket directly opposite the resort which sells pretty much everything. We stayed here for 4 nights which seemed too long as without a car there's not much to do here and your days can quickly become repetitive.
