Taj City Centre New Town, Kolkata

Ladies and Gentlemen, We booked a room from May 25th to May 29th, 2024 and on May 26th around 9:30 p.m. we were in the lobby. And the reception staff were very, very unfriendly when we were sitting there, first a staff member came and told me to sit correct and after 5 minutes a *** came and said my husband should take his feet off the table and what was worst came Another employee told us without knowing that we weren't allowed to sit in the lobby. My question is if people are allowed to book a room with you who don't use the lobby so they should just stay in the room, the lobby is only for those who have to wait or something else. never again and wouldn't recommend it. We booked from Germany and were very disappointed

The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The bathroom was modern and equipped with all the necessary amenities.Overall, my stay at Taj City Centre New Town was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kolkata.

I was travelling with my twin infant daughters and my wife for a day trip to Kolkata. This was our first trip with kids and I was just expecting a bit of quiet time away from daily hustle. Special thanks to Suyash and Dipankar, they both absolutely went a lot out of the way at every moment to make sure our stay was comfortable. Me and my wife are extremely overwhelmed by the hospitality standards at Taj New Town Kolkata- something that we have been talking over for past two days post our trip. Kids too never felt out of the space, and gave us confidence to travel again and stay only at Taj properties. We have stayed at many hotels, but i must admit, this has so far been the most hospitable experience with Taj. Every concern, every support offered by Dipankar, Suyash, every Front Office team member was top notch, genuine and from bottom of their heart. We absolutely felt like home, and hotel pampered us to glory. Special thanks and gratitude to the New Town Team who are doing an excellent job and raising Taj hospitality standards perfectly in the city of joy. Right from Check-in, room allotment, room decorations, recommendations on eating and precautions to be taken, giving us extended check out time for Kids, offering my family space to be at ease -etc- everything was perfect and helpful. Front office team is doing an fabulous job, hats off to Dipankar's involvement and joyful personality - it does make a lot of difference. Hotel was very well maintained, decorations and public areas were great and refreshing. Food Quality, Taste, service standards were absolutely of highest standard. I rate the hotel 10/10 in everything. Shalini from Taj club lounge and Shamiana, also has been very hospitable and helped my family at every moment during our stay. Definitely recommending others, and would be staying again at the hotel during our next visit.
