Hotels in Chalok Baan Kao, Koh Tao

I stayed here for two days in Koh Tao ten years ago and was impressed, so I chose this place again this time. Advantages: halfway up the mountain, very quiet, unbeatable balcony view, family room with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, spacious room. Disadvantages: the water heater needs to be turned on by the air conditioner and it is slow to heat up, the location is slightly off, the slope at the entrance is very steep, climbing up and down is very tiring, but it is also an interesting experience, and the hotel takes too long to serve the food. An extra quilt costs 200 pigs.

The hotel is nice in general, the location is also quite convenient. It is located up the hill thou but the view is amazing! They have shuttle bus to take you around the island if you need it. But if you rent the bike, the location is not a problem at all. It might look a bit old, but I didn’t mind it. The stuff is super friendly and helpful. The food is just okay. We loved our stay there.

The room is clean. The staff are friendly, always greeting, good service, will come back again next time. Morning symptoms are delicious. In the picture is the view from the room. In the morning, the wind was very good. Sitting outside the room was relaxing. In the afternoon, the wind was calm. But it's good that there aren't any mosquitoes. The atmosphere is very good.

Un hotel muy bonito, limpio y con un personal muy servicial y amable. Un hotel muy tranquilo, a 10 minutos de la playa y cerca de varios restaurantes. Alquilé la moto en el mismo hotel, barato y sin fianza ni pasaporte como garantia.

Clean dorm room and toilets with decent facilities. Friendly staff. Nice that they have free shuttle services too. Convenient location very near Chalok Baan Kao Bay and Freedom Beach, good restaurants, massage shops and Seven Eleven. Only negative impression was witnessing a mynah pick off rice grains from the serving spoon during the breakfast buffet. The food is out in the open, though covered, and no one is really watching to make sure the animals don't come for it...

We stayed in a beachfront villa and a twin garden view. The overall space inside the house is not big, a bit small, and the facilities are relatively simple. The layout of the beachfront villa is unreasonable, but the beachfront and overall environment of the resort are very good, and the service staff are also very friendly. It is a quiet resort in Koh Tao, very suitable for lying down. I will consider choosing this resort next time I come to Koh Tao. The facilities are particularly complete, with swings and hammocks. The children had a lot of fun, and the children got along well with their staff.

Wir waren 4 Nächte dort und hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer im Bungalow Style. Auch sonst hat uns das Hotel sehr gefallen. Einziger (aber sehr großer!) Minuspunkt waren die Hühner, die jede Nacht um 4 oder 5 Uhr anfingen zu kreischen und über 1-2 Stunden schrien. Nicht einmal Oropax haben uns geholfen. Nicht zu vergleichen mit ”deutschen” Hühnern, da die Tiere hier um einiges lauter waren und schrien als hätten sie eine Kehlkopfentzündung.

Stayed in Gee Resort initially for 4 nights. Tried to extend our stay, but was fully booked, we didn't want to leave! Managed to rebook in following that for another 2 nights. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were super clean and the aircon was amazing. Oh, and the restaurant... we ate here even when not staying at the hotel. The food was incredible. When I come back to Koh Tao for more diving, I will not be staying anywhere else!

The hotel is very good for the price it has. The room is very large and the bathroom is also. You have a small porch out with a table and chairs. It was quite clean and the location is excellent, next to the beach with all kinds of rooms, but quiet area. Also has a swimming pool and a restaurant on the beach. You can rent a bike there too and some excursions.

It was pretty good for the price. It has a forest-like environment. I liked going up the steps to the room, or hanging out on the hammock. It was very relaxing and the fan room was enough. Water was not hot and I realized later that you should not take a hot shower after scuba diving so it was good that way
