Location wise is quite a distance from Bophut Fishermen Village and it took 20 minutes by walking. There isn't much amenities surrounding the hotel. However this is more than made up by the good service of the courteous and friendly staffs. Just one thing the management need to take note, we were having lunch at the pool side bar as the restaurant was closed, it would be good to have a roof over the dining area for shade, instead of just umbrella in the mid afternoon hot sun.

Fast check in. Room available early. House keeping to the highest standards. Safe for children and kids club is one the was made with kids in mind first rather than an add on later. Much entertainment included, film nights with pop corn stands and buffets, neon disco, and buffet breakfast with a wide variety of international food and treats however, this list is not limited. Special requests were always met and exceeded my expectations. The location is directly on the strip of Fisherman’s Village, and close to CoCoTams where there is a fire show each night. To Chewang area, it is a 15 minute taxi/tactic ride. VIP taxi outside resort cost 500tbh (€6) for 1 adult and 1 child. Finally, the nights sleep was bliss. I wish I could have brought home the pillows.

Overall, quite expensive, but a pretty great hotel.
Pros:
1. Very clean, no signs of mold
2. Comfortable rooms equipped with very nice spacious showers, Smart TVs and kitchenettes with a hob
3. Exceptional breakfast. Variety of food, everything’s fresh. I’m allergic to gluten, and they tried to have some options for me too, including bread
4. They have an app where you can communicate with the staff and order anything you want to your room. Nice touch, quite convenient
5. The location was criticised by some other reviews but we really liked it, as it’s somewhat less touristy than Lamai beach area, but still very close to bars, restaurants and shops. You need a scooter, though.
Cons:
1. It’s not on the beach. The pictures provided are of their sister beach club, Chi Samui, that’s a few minutes away on the scooter. They provide free shuttles there, free sunbeds and discounts, but it’s still an expensive place, compared to those around. The hotel itself has a pool and sunbeds around, which were sufficient for us, but if you care about seeing the ocean from your balcony - you might get dissapointed.
2. Although rooms have fully equipped kitchens, you can’t cook there, unless you’re staying for more than a month (I am an allergic person and have to cook a lot of my food myself). They don’t provide you with basic cooking (or eating) utensils like forks, knives and plates. We, however, managed to get a few sets of cuttlery and some bowls, but it was complicated, I had to kind of fight for it.
3. On the expensive side, including the food and drinks at the hotel.
Overall, would stay again. A few minor inconveniences, but a pretty good experience at Chi.

A stunning villa, all new, comfortable. Style details. The pool is clean. The workers tried to make the rest as comfortable as possible, congratulated on their birthday. Just a couple of days off the sea in a private setting excellent!

Great hotel with great and attentive service as well as very clean facilities. We've been welcomed very warmly by all the staff at the reception. Our room had a great and straight view on the sea, located just above the pool. The hotel itself is build on a hill and it's not easy to walk up to the rooms, however, the staff is always ready and offering shuttle service which is great. Our room was very clean, the bathroom offered enough space. The only thing I wish could have been provided were some more toiletries (such as tooth brush, comb and a shaver). Breakfast selection on the buffet was quite limited but sufficient for a 3-4 days stay. Besides that there was an a la carte Egg Dish menu, which was very nice. Recommend the Egg Benedict, these were poached daily perfectly.
The location of the hotel slightly remote but quiet on the other hand. Plus, there's a van shuttle service twice a day and hotel itself provides drop offs down to the main road whenever needed. Bike rental is just bedside the hotel, which made it even more convenient.
Overall a great time at the Mantra Hotel, can only recommend.

The hotel grew on me..we arrived at 8pm and were shown to room 103, it was awful...I complained and said I had booked and paid for a delux room and showed the receptionist photos of the room on their website... I was told that all of those rooms were let to other customers..met the manager the next morning and she once again moved our room.
The hotel is undergoing renovations, a couple or rooms at a time, which look really nice, it will be a good hotel when this is complete.
Breakfast is really good , with a choice of 9 dishes which cover most tastes.
The staff are first class and the manager is friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is a 400 bhat journey each way ,to either chwange beach or the fisherman village. Which can get expensive.
Overall it's a nice friendly horel

The breakfast was below average, I wish that there was more Thai food, and that they changed what was on offer, it would help if the menu was changed daily.
The waiters were super kind, friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their face, and trying to engage with us.
The room was fairly comfortable though we did have issues with the water in the shower, not going down the drain. I did ask for someone to check it out and on the first day it worked but throughout the stay we still had a problem with the drainage.
The pool is opposite the hotel, you need to cross the road to get there, please keep this in mind.
We hired our own car, and parked on the property which was locked and we had peace of mind.

We had a great stay at Ban Kaew. Staff were amazing - we received coconuts as a welcome present and staff were always very willing to help. My sister left at 5am and they woke up then to help her with her luggage. The location is great, 5 mins away from fisherman’s village and there are lots of eateries etc around, as well as a 7/11 just opposite the accommodation. The room’s flooring was a bit slippery and the water in the shower only got lukewarm, not hot and I like my showers hot so this wasn’t ideal but not a big issue as it’s warm in Thailand anyway. Also, the shower was very close to the toilet (just next to it, with no partition) so unfortunately the toilet always got wet when we showered. All in all, we had a great stay and I’d recommend the villa😊

Amazing
CClaraHuangTaiwanThe lobby was spectacular. We arrived at night but it still can tell that the hotel was clean and large. The employees were friendly and they always had wore a big smile on their faces. The room was clean and tidy, which had a big open shower space. Taking a shower with air conditioner was a little chilly but it was totally tolerable because the whether was so hot outside. Swimming pool was stunning with a wide view of ocean. It was pity that we cannot arrive sooner to enjoy the sunset in the pool. We will definitely consider staying more days at Hansar next time.😄

เเที่ยวไป ไหวอยู่This hotel was exactly what we hoped for cozy, luxurious, and worth every penny. Our sea-view room was spotless, bright, and had an amazing view from the terrace. There’s even a semi-private beach, which made the stay even more special. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast didn’t have a huge selection, but everything was delicious. Plus, the location is great- just minutes from Bangrak Pier for easy trips to Koh Phangan and only an 8-minute drive to Fisherman’s Village.
Highly recommend:)

FFrancium_psI recently spent a weekend here, and overall, I would say it was a decent experience for what we paid. Here's a breakdown of my thoughts:
Accommodations (3/5):
The rooms were clean and well-maintained, but they felt a bit outdated. The furniture and decor could use some updating, and the beds were not the most comfortable. However, the room had all the basic amenities, including a TV, mini-fridge, and a clean bathroom. It's not a luxury experience, but it was acceptable for a short stay.
Service (4/5):
The staff here were friendly and attentive. They were quick to address our needs and answer any questions we had. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the concierge was helpful in arranging activities in the area.
Amenities (3/5):
The resort has a nice pool area, which we enjoyed. However, the pool could have been cleaner, and there were limited lounge chairs available, especially during peak hours. The on-site restaurant had a decent menu, but the food was a bit on the expensive side for what you got. It would be nice to have more dining options nearby.
Location (3/5):
It is located a bit further from the main attractions in the area, so you'll need a car to get around. This could be a downside for some, but it's also quieter and away from the crowds. If you're looking for a more secluded experience, it might be a plus.
Value for Money (3/5):
The pricing at this resort is reasonable, but you get what you pay for. It's not a luxury resort, so if you're looking for a budget-friendly option, it's a decent choice.
In summary, this is a middle-of-the-road resort. It's not going to blow you away, but it's clean, the service is good, and it offers an affordable place to stay. If you're not too concerned with luxury and just need a place to sleep while exploring the area, it's worth considering.

GGuest UserExcellent hotel. 2 minutes walk to the sea, through a pedestrian street and restaurants. Caring and attentive staff. Water in glass bottles is provided daily. Downstairs there is a billiard table, books and board games.
The cleanliness in the room itself is good, but the condition of the plumbing requires replacement and repair! Room cleaning upon request.
There is a parking lot on the territory, but it is difficult to use it, because from 18:00 to 23:00 the neighboring street becomes a pedestrian street and is closed for car traffic. And from 15:00 there is a market, which also prevents car traffic. And the market is only off on Thursday, on other days we had to leave the car far from the hotel. Taxis also could not come because of the market.
The beach opposite the hotel is silted and stinks (June 2025), but if you go 200 meters to the left, then you can already swim well and there is no silt. The sand on the beach is coarse, which is good because it doesn't stick to things and clothes, but it's painful to walk on, and it's also very hot during the day.

OOlgaThe hotel is a family hotel, mainly European families with small children relax there: there is everything for them: a playroom, scooters and a lot more.
We stayed in it after Phangan for 1 night and it was normal: the hotel is not on the first coastline, that is, you don’t have much to buy. The advantage is that it’s a 5-minute walk from Fisherman Village, it’s nice to walk there and feel the local vibe, but the prices are terribly expensive in all those establishments, so I don’t really recommend it.
In general, this part of the island is not really about swimming, only hotel pools. Swimming is Chaweng!
The hotel itself is pleasant: we lived in a large separate villa, which has everything, including a kitchenette! Very comfortably. So there are no special complaints, except for the huge number of mosquitoes on this part of the island.
