When choosing a hotel, we read reviews: there were both good and bad ones, but we were alarmed by the fact that there were several good reviews in a row, written according to a template, we thought they were “custom-made” to increase the rating after the bad reviews.
We arrived to check in. A local worker brought us to a room on the first floor (a small, flimsy two-story “cottage”) with two large beds, one of the beds was made up with a duvet cover with a huge yellow stain on the floor of the bed. Everything was flimsy, old, worn out and smelled. Then a local worker came with the words “sorry, sorry” and moved us to the next room, opening it with the same key that opened the first room (!!!!).
Everything was like in the previous room, but the bed linen was without stains... But the main thing was that it smelled even stronger (!!!). The worst **** started in the evening, when the neighbors from upstairs came and everyone started washing (you can hear everything very well) and going to the toilet. It turned out that right next to us, there is a sewer drain, from which the stench came. In our toilet-shower there was a big hole (a drain for a shower) from which the sewer smell came, so that it stood in the room, despite the closed door (a door with a huge gap on the floor). We tried to sit down to eat on the terrace at a table, but there was no less stench from the sewer drain nearby!!!!
A Turkish family was settled in our "first" room. And they complained that they paid for 4 days and they were not getting their money back, and here it stinks so much! Luckily, we paid for only one night, so we will look for another place to live.
