Very friendly and helpful Staff - Great food at the restaurant.
Bungalows were super nice and cosy. Very quiet location, away from the busy part of the hotel and beach. Unfortunately the pool area was neglected. Umbrellas were rusty and pool water was a bit dirty.
The gym had poor facilities and was worn out. Could use a shine up. But overall we were happy with our 3 nights at this Resort.

The beach in front of the door is very good. There is only an Italian restaurant. The room is big, a little old but clean. The sea is very good. The hotel has introduced water activities, but you can't participate in them. You have to go to the place next door. They are not good at this. Because there is an activity sign, but no service. It is still very clean and good. You can snorkel, surf, dive, etc. But you need to get your own equipment and have certain abilities. What is particularly good is that they have their own dedicated dock. The dock for landing and landing is the hotel's own dock. There is a free boat to pick up and the luggage can be carried directly. The hotel's boat is very fast. It is not a public boat that can sail to the destination within 10 minutes! Every hillside room they said faces the sea, but most of the rooms are blocked by trees.

The villas which are located on the other side of refurbishment zone, resort facilities such as restaurant and other resort’s services are operate as normal (except the Paradee Spa, which will be under renovation until 31 July 2025).

We recently spent an unforgettable time at this hotel and want to share our impressions. We were accommodated in a new bungalow, where we were greeted by a stunning atmosphere: a cozy room with a huge bed (larger than king size) and fresh renovation.
The breakfast was pleasingly varied: always fresh fruit, chicken, meat, excellent scrambled eggs and soups are prepared on request. The only thing is that the choice of sweets is a bit monotonous, but this does not spoil the overall picture.
The beach is simply wonderful - closed, cozy, with enough sun loungers. Every evening - a real show: live music and a mesmerizing fire show right on the beach.
The location of the hotel is one of its main advantages. The territory is well-kept, the atmosphere is calm and romantic. Particularly impressive is the opportunity to enjoy nature and white sand in a secluded bay.
We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable vacation with excellent service and picturesque nature. We are absolutely delighted!

GGuest UserWe rented a room for 1 night at the hotel. Check-in at 14:00, check-out at 12:00. After check-out, you can use the beach and toilet, take a shower outside. Very good impressions. Beautiful, well-kept territory, clean rooms. The room has good lighting, hard mattresses, good pressure in the shower. Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, dental kit, cotton swabs, cap, 2 towels per person: small and large.
Delicious breakfasts are included, they give you a paper bracelet. According to the menu in the restaurant, the prices for Thai cuisine are adequate: tom yum 150 baht, rice 25 baht, vegetable salad with cashews 120 baht. In the evening, tables are laid on the beach.
Sun loungers are included in the price, beach towels can be taken at the reception by saying the room number. Not all beaches in Samet include sunbeds in the price
In the evening there is a fire show at 21:00, from 21:30 to 24:00 there is a disco.

This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave.
The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings.
The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special.
We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

MMan kitThe hotel has an Elephant Cafe near the pier, which can arrange speedboats and parking for 500 baht per person. After arriving at the pier, someone will help you take your luggage to the hotel. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the beach. There will be music and fireworks shows at night, and the hotel's breakfast is also great. Although the hotel has upper and lower age groups, the facilities are all OK.

The location is convenient, in the center of the beach with white sand and emerald water, a picturesque path 5 minutes from the house to the beach, there is a store, a lot of cafes and restaurants.

MMarinaThe hotel is conveniently located, but tuk-tuks do not bring you to it, you have to walk through the courtyards from the bus stop, the first time we thought we would not find it, then we got used to it when you know the way. The location is convenient, on the 1st line, but perpendicular to the sea, so the windows overlook the backyard and the restaurant toilet. Apparently, during the low season, the restaurant staff got used to sitting there, talking, playing with the children, it was difficult to relax during the day, there was constant noise outside the window. Even when we asked them to be quieter, after some time they gathered there again and talked endlessly loudly, watched videos, played games. Then they moved to the area in front of the reception, but they talked so loudly that the noise still interfered with rest. At the same time, you will not find employees in the restaurant when you need to order food or pay, they are all relaxing there for their own pleasure. The hotel has its own sun loungers on the beach, but the restaurant staff tried to kick us out from there on the first day and insisted that we should order something in the restaurant, this spoiled the impression, of course. It is strange that the hotel has a restaurant, but no breakfast, it would be more convenient with breakfast. At 9 am, large groups of Chinese tourists are brought to the restaurant, in principle, as in other neighboring restaurants on the first line. The room is not bad, but old, the bed is comfortable, the TV only has Thai channels. The toilet in the bathroom is leaking, the faucet, apparently the same is on the floor above, because water was dripping from the ceiling and there is mold on the ceiling, and in the toilet itself there is no ventilation and a terrible smell of mold. There is no toilet paper, in front of the entrance to the toilet there is a holder with thin napkins, which is very inconvenient. We lived on the 1st floor, since among us there were people with disabilities, in front of the room there is a table and two chairs, but sitting in front of the restaurant toilet is not at all pleasant. Also, the employees in this place eat their own food and sometimes the smells are very unpleasant. The hotel is for very unpretentious visitors, but the sea is wonderful and two steps from the beach. On the main street there are many restaurants, massages, two 7-11, currency exchange. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the ferry.
