Tiki Beach Koh Phangan

The owner from Manchester are such lovely people. They offer daily trips for their guests so nobody will feel lonely while staying at this place. The employees are always friendly and it is really different than other places. You feel like coming home. The vibes are amazing ! I don’t really care about internet connections, because I remember Phangan when there was no 24/7 stores and nobody had mobile phones and there was no internet available. A warm welcome place to connect to other people easily. And again: the vibes are really amazing !!! Both thumbs up. P.S.: I don’t recommend the dorm room, but for students and young people who don’t have big budgets it is cool that this way of accommodation still exist.

Sand in My Shoes Beach Loft

We fell in love with this boutiquey accommodation right on the beach. It was exactly what we wanted. It sits lightly on the beautiful beach; quiet, with gorgeous boho style - the prettiest on the beach. The room we had was compact but well thought out and decorated with flair. We loved opening our door right out onto the modest but beautiful pool area. The food here is also the best we found whilst in Thong Nai Pan Noi. We ended up eating here more than we expected. We tried various other places (including the Buri Rasa up the beach, which we voted as our worst meal) and nothing lived up to the freshness or the skill coming out of the kitchen here. And you really do have sand in your shoes (if you decide to wear them). We are still talking about our time here, the lovely staff and the proximity to nature; waves, moonlight etc. We would definitely go back and given we've now travelled to Thailand several times over the years - that is a recommendation in itself.

The pool-side bungalows are fantastic, sizeable and beautifully decorated with bright colors. Proper bedside lamps and a large bathroom, particularly the shower area. AC and fans, all the amenities one would need except a TV (which is not anything negative in our eyes). Nice curtains, large porch. Good quality artisan furniture. Located in a lush garden and the area is beautiful, however you do need mosquito protection. The pool is great, clean and fresh, with sun blocking fabric hung over the pool so that there’s plenty of shade. The Burmese staff are super friendly and helpful, speak very good English and cater to anything one might need. Restaurant serves a savoury breakfast made up of meze dishes, but there was no problem for us to get yoghurt with granola and fruit and scrambled eggs when we asked. The beach is beautiful but not great for swimming right now due to the strong tide. There are no genuine Thai restaurants in the area and hardly no thaipeople. The entire island is very hilly and difficult to move around even if you’re used to driving in Thailand. Transportation as a service is expensive so unless you’re willing to pay up or take risks on a motorbike, you’re going to be stuck in one spot. We’re leaving earlier than planned only because we don’t appreciate the area as it’s very touristy, but if we could take the hotel with us we would.
Buri Rasa Village Phangan

It's a nice and relaxing beach, to get away and wind off a bit. The room was super clean and new, and was quite nice with a balcony. There are very few plugs in the room, and the bedside plug was obstructed by the mattress and the bed, so it was unusable. There's a pool but it had a lot of sand from the kids running in and out of the beach and jumping directly into the pool... The beach, facing sunrise, is perfect and one of the nicest ones on the island, along with the larger one on the other bay next door. The SUPs and kayaks were old and broken. It had a very nice breakfast, which was included. Service was good, but I was upset that they claimed the hotel was going to be fully booked and couldn't offer a late checkout, although there were plenty of rooms available on trip.com to book, and when later that day I said that, they changed the story and said my room was already booked for the next day.
Long Bay Resort

From our first email exchange to the good bye early in the morning, Apple was fantastic. She made our stay so comfortable that I would return to Long Bay without hesitation. The beach is secluded, quiet and calm. The bungalows are honest to the photos and 3 stars. Kept very clean and tidy, room cleaning was offered too. The pool was very clean also. Overall a lovely spot with a fantastic customer service. Thumbs up for the driver who drove us around the island always with a smile on his face. Great way to support local business during difficult times with very few tourists.
