I want to talk about this unusual hotel experience: I booked a round-trip ticket from Bangkok Airport to Koh Chang. It was said that it was delivered to the hotel. In fact, it can only be delivered to Lonely Beach. The road behind is not included. We took a Texi (similar to tu tu) 100B per person from Lonely Beach to the hotel. At the fork in the road, the driver put us down and pointed to the sign of the hotel on the side of the road and said, ”Go into this path.” So we were very happy, thanked the driver and walked on the side road. After walking five hundred meters, we started to feel silly. We felt like we had walked into a village. Except for the trees on both sides, there were occasional houses. The more we walked in, the more fearful we got. On the way, a villager on a motorcycle came to talk to us and asked where we were going. (Don't dare to talk nonsense, the guide says that you can't talk to passers-by, but you can't help but say, I don't know if the driver has been tricked) The villagers said that they would go a long way, and shook their heads and left. How could the hotel be far away? I don’t believe it, it can’t be seen from the map. We decided to continue walking, and asked another villager in the middle, or we should continue walking. I dragged my luggage for almost one kilometer, but I haven't found it yet. The more I walk in, the more fearful it is. At this time, an old man riding a three-wheeled motorcycle showed up and told us to get in his car and take us there for free. We were even more scared – old man? Tricycle? free? (Mom said that she can't talk to strangers) Not daring to go, a blond ghost girl driving a car came and asked where we were going. After talking to the old man, she told us to get into the old man's car. Come on, he seems to be in his 60s and 70s. We are very good that he should be able to fight him before. If I can't, I will pose and say I will scare him with Chinese Kung Fu. So we got on his tricycle, and the car drove up a small slope. The downhill was a small road with many monkeys running in the middle of the road. This frightened us both. Mama, how can we hide from the monkey~ My face turned blue, Just about to say something, the car stopped. The old man pointed to the front roof and said: Go down, this house is. It doesn't look like a black shop, but finally here? ! It seems to be here... I stuffed the old man with 40B and walked down quickly. Damn-I finally found you, luckily I didn't give up!
Closer to home, the hotel faces the sea, spring flowers bloom, and the environment is very good! The breakfast is super delicious, comparable to the five-star hotels in Australia, and it is delicious and delicious. The hotel has a free car at a fixed time every day to take guests to Bangbao Fishing Village. It's best to rent a motorcycle, it's a bit inconvenient to get in and out. If you want to live in isolation, this is a good choice. Europeans like to choose this hotel, and relatively few Chinese.

A hidden gem at the end of klong Kloi beach. Rooms were spacious, and while there is no pool, the resort is right on the beach and the sea is warm and calm. While we stayed the restaurant was not open, so all guests went to the next resort for breakfast. The staff informed us that the restaurant will reopen next year. They have a masseuse right on the beach who are well worth a visit! The only thing to consider is the distance from the main road, we were pretty mobile and happily took tuk tuk taxis to other parts of the island, but those with kids and/or a lot of luggage might find the location a bit remote. There is a place to rent motorbikes nearby (at a reasonable price) but personally, as this area of the island is very hilly, we chose to not rent and just used taxis instead.

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, so it is relatively quiet. The bed was very large and comfortable. We did not think it was too crowded. The bedding in the room is very comfortable, and the breakfast is also good, but the variety is relatively small. We booked a room with breakfast. The next day we had breakfast and we ordered the menu. The prices of different packages are different. I wondered if we needed to make up the difference when we checked out, but there was no result. The boss and the proprietress are very nice and enthusiastic. I only blame myself for having too limited English, and they can’t talk well. The hotel has a small boat to take guests to the opposite Bangbao fishing village for dinner every day. The service is very attentive. The hotel’s dinner is also okay, except that there are few varieties, everything else is fine. The fly in the ointment is that there is no place to dry clothes.
There may be monkeys coming sooner or later, so don't be too nervous to hear the movement. And there are a lot of ants on the island, especially at night. Don't be too nervous to see it.
We loved this sleepy vibe; the beach is perfect for swimming with lots of natural shade and has alternative restaurants within 5-10m walk for drinks or dinner. The hotel has a lovely pool, with a child section and fountains and the decking is well maintained. There are foot and body showers. We ate a dinner of fish on the bbq which was delicious and cooked perfectly. The fire show added interest. Staff are welcoming and helpful; translation can be difficult at times but they are dealing with many languages. There is a well stocked book swop, jenga game and noughts and crosses available. The wooden swings are popular with adults and children. The wooden sun beds are comfortable but some backs need repair or replacement. Swim towels are thick and plentiful. The gardens are well maintained with some lovely grafted orchids and swinging lanterns. The hotel organised our transfer from Kai Bae for 700 TBH. The last section is unmetalled but has very few potholes and we have travelled far worse across the world. The hotel is well placed for visits to Bang Bao fishing village and The Ghost Ship. The speedboats pick you up off the beach for trips to the local islands or the national park via the pier. The hotel also organises private boats. There are a few sellers of sarongs and bracelets but it is predominantly quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the superior double; perfect! The shower had good pressure and hot water, the hanging rack was useful for drying clothes and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we have had on this 3 month trip. Cleaning was great and the towel animals showed pride and care. The foot tap was useful on the patio. The air conditioning was quiet and effective. The massages were great; a good strength and at 300 THB for a standard massage were competitively priced. The breakfast eggs were well cooked; there were yoghurt jars, muesli and fruits and salad, and a range of bread. Expectations matched price. There were some Thai options too. A water cooler and glasses are available in the lobby; bottles in the room are glass and can be refilled. The lobby played quiet relaxing music; this resort attracts authentic and respectful sun seekers who want peace. Beach bags are provided, slippers, flip flops etc. There were some SUPs and kayaks available. Pug in mosquito burner was provided in the room. There is very little evidence of litter and jetsam on this island. We will definitely return here. Thank you for our early check in. Even better if: 1. WiFi was stronger and more consistent 2. Face towel and welcome drink needed given the distance some guests will have travelled 3. Conditioner was provided for hair 4. The safe key is attached to the door key which controls the lighting etc so undoing the safe makes it more difficult in the dark. 5. The coffee pots are hotter; guests boiled the kettle to resolve this
I really wanted to like this place. The food was good and the restaurant has amazing views. We arrived with high hopes. The place was basic, no problem with this and we weren’t expecting much in terms of amenities given the price. What I do expect, however, regardless of what I pay, is cleanliness. Problem started when we went back to our room for the night. Went to have a shower and there was hair in it. And not just one. This is one thing I find gross - it only takes a cleaner to look back to make sure they’ve done their job to avoid this. In addition, the bathroom was extremely run down. Shelves hadn’t been dusted in a long time. Tiles missing and extremely dirty grout. In addition, we had the worst sleep. The mattress was extremely hard - and while this is subjective, it was unbearably uncomfortable. The ants were another issue. I get it, I’m in the tropics BUT when you go into the bathroom in the middle of the night and there are tons of them in and around the toilet - it’s just gross. I don’t want to have to worry about them getting into my nether regions when I want to use the toilet. Use some traps, spray - just do something. We decided we needed to book elsewhere and when we went to leave, they never asked us why we were leaving. A lost opportunity, in my opinion, to learn how to improve. During checkout, we were charged for breakfast which was supposed to be included. We were told we chose a breakfast that wasn’t included. I was surprised given they simply asked us what we wanted prepared and we said American breakfast (which they got wrong and brought us an English breakfast instead). I’m very curious what type of breakfast was actually included since what we got was nothing special (see photo). One egg, one piece of toast, a tablespoon of beans etc. They did remove the charge as no one told us that what we had chosen wasn’t part of the ‘included’ option. We heard the water was shut down for a day after we left so seems we departed at the right time! Our next resort was great and kept swarms of ants out of the room so it is possible! ;)
That was my second trip to Koh Chang and I stayed again in Beach box which is amazing! As for me there is nothing else you need by the beach. Nice bed, shower , fresh towels and Fan which works super well to the point you start freezing at night! the owner Kiwi is really really helpful, both him and his wife know how to take care of guests! 😊
We spent 10 days/nights at this fabulous resort. We knew Koh Chang and Bangbao Bay in advance, but we have never stayed at this resort before. We knew the resort is situated at a beautiful and tranquil beach, but on top of that we were delighted by the cleanliness of the huts and the friendly service extended. Khun Jebbie and her staff runs a very clean and well-organized operation. Some weeks after having booked the resort via booking.com we were contacted by khun Jebbie. She informed us that prices had dropped, and she recommended us to re-book our room in order to obtain a discount. Having arrived at the resort we were even upgraded to a superior room t the same reduced price. Not only did khun Jebbie organize our transport from Bangkok to the resort, but she was also invaluable in coordinating our mandatory second PCR-test with the hospital in Koh Chang as well as communicating the result to us. The resort and the huts have a beautiful view over Bangbao Bay. The sound of the waves and the bird and gecko calls at dusk underlines the tropic atmosphere. the beach restaurant next door serves a variety of excellent Thai and European dishes. Rent a scooter (200 THB per day) at a nearby shop and you have access to the entire island.

Many times I stayed at this hotel, the hotel staff was warm, because I needed to travel to Koh Chang recently. Today, the waiter in the hotel lobby checked with me the date and the number of rooms I stayed next time. I found that there was a duplicate, so that I could be timely. Can handle and avoid unnecessary losses. And tonight, I went out alone tonight, and I met several stray dogs there (mainly afraid of dogs, not stray dogs with attacking people in the hotel). I was afraid that I would not go to the hotel door and call the hotel front desk. I immediately sent the security guard to pick up, the service is very good, it is worth writing an essay recommendation.
