Coorg Wilderness Resort & Spa

Excellent hospitality, outstanding location, serene mountain view as well as valley view from the hotel. We stayed there for three nights. Positive points: Rooms: Super spacious rooms, truly luxury feeling while staying there. Big 55 inch TV, noteworthy special big fan, extremely big bathroom with bathtub. Hospitality: Top notch hospitality by almost all the staff right from room service to food staff. WORTH MENTIONING-- Ms AVI AND BEENA in habba buffet and breakfast. They both took extreme care of us especially of my child. They specially made requested food available for him whenever we asked for. FOOD: super delicious food. Wide spread in breakfast as well as dinner. High tea was also available with different varieties of food items. View: Absolutely marvelous. Valley as well as mountain view. Serene environment can be felt just by watching the surroundings. Special track available for sunset view-absolutely stunning. Additional features-- coffee plantation tour(paid), outdoor activities(paid), Morning yoga session and bird watching(complimentary). NOW FOR THE NEGATIVE POINTS------ 1. I have a kid of 2.5years so i chose this hotel in impression that they may have a good kids play area. BUT IT WAS A BIG DISSAPOINTMENT. ONLY SMALL AREA WAS ALLOCATED FOR THE KIDS PLAY AREA WHICH AD ONE SLIDE, ONE SWING AND SEE SAW.---A BIG DISSAPOINTMENT. The slide was extremely risky for young children like mine. As steps to climb the slide were round instead of broad and flat, that made climbing risky for very young child(see the image below). The swing seat was round instead of flat-- extremely risk- my child fell twice. 2. ANOTHER BIG DISSAPOINTMENT IS THE SWIMMING POOL. Being a 5 star hotel, i was in impression that it may have temperature controlled swimming pool, but UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS NOT........... The water did not get changed regularly/periodically that made the water more colder(due to stagnancy). Moreover, WATER CHANGINGOR EXCHANGING VENTS/VALVES(IN & OUT) WERE NOT WORKING AT ALL. When i dig deep into it, I came to know that, they change/exchange the water only once in the morning which makes the water more colder as per the outer environment. Another weak point I found that when i asked for the child's tube for swimming pool, the guard denied that we dont have child's tube(HOW SHAMEFUL IS THAT, BEING A FIVE STAR HOTEL THEY DONT HAVE CHILD'S TUBE FOR SWIMMING POOL). Again i tried to dig into the detail of that and what I came to know was just shocking. I found that, they already asked for that(as per their statement) many a times, but management/higher authority didn't provide that. I went to the concerned person- customer care person, then the senior person, Mr. PAVAN and his senior(forgot his name) to inquire about this thing as well as for feedback regarding the kids play area, but surprisingly they dont about all these issue/problems as they may not have visited those places. I raised my concerns, let's hope they will solve this in fu

I had an amazing stay at Purple Palms Resort! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the entire trip. The resort itself offers a perfect blend of comfort and style, with well-appointed rooms that provided all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The ambiance was simply beautiful—lush surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and just the right balance of luxury and nature. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and well taken care of throughout my visit. Whether it was the delicious meals or the thoughtful touches around the resort, everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Purple Palms Resort for anyone looking for a serene, comfortable getaway with excellent service.

Staying here is a truly wonderful experience. One is made to feel really welcome and effectively part of a family. It's a very friendly place. The rooms are marvellous. All face east to greet the rising sun and have balconies to watch it from. Spotlessly clean and comfy beds. No room is overlooked by another. The resort has been planned and laid out on green / sustainable principles and the minimum of natural forest cover was removed to build it. Plenty to do. The long trek to the top of an adjacent hill early in the morning, with a very knowledgeable guide is well worth the early start. Many other activities too. The Sustainability Tour is highly recommended. Food is of good quality, served from a buffet although a la carte is also available.
