Pros: * old world charm * excellent service * decent location to explore Fort Kochi * marvellous food, including the best chicken biriyani in the world * the swimming pool is a lovely temperature when the sun is out * comfortable beds * decent showers * sockets take UK plugs Cons: * the ferry to Vypin is a bit close but isn’t too much of a distraction. All things considered, this is a cracking place.

It was disappointing that I could not stay more than a night in this beautifully appointed hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They catered to all our needs. It was a short stay but made memorable by the service and the delicious food. Each and every staff member made us feel at home.

This is a lovely hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. The colonial rooms are very clean and the pool was beautiful to swim in. Lots of complimentary activities available. It is a little noisy with the car / bike ferry arriving and departing but it stops by 10, and starts at 6am, and the hotel provide good quality earplugs! The breakfast was really yum - lots of choices between Western and Indian options cooked to order. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in one of the sea-facing deluxe suites which is like an apartment. It had a living room with a large balcony overlooking the water, a separate bedroom, two bathrooms and a small kitchen. We loved the complimentary afternoon tea each day and the overall excellent service. The only slight negative was that you overlook the ferry terminal and the ferries run from 6am until 10pm and can be quite noisy. However, the hotel provides earplugs in the bedroom, which we did not need because we weren’t trying to sleep during the ferry hours.

Best hotel we’ve stayed in for a while. Top class service especially the reception. Beautiful room on the first floor in the middle of the building overlooking the bay and swimming pool. Good size room with large bathroom. Real coffee and French press and a selection of real loose tea. Breakfast was a la carte with a daily local special. Both the Seafood and Armoury restaurants in the evening served wonderful food - the fish was especially good. Only issue is the noisy ferry.

Sep 2024, Checkout 26th Sep 2024).
1.Brunton Boatyard does not provide buffet breakfast.
2. Very very limited options in à la carte breakfast
3. à la carte breakfast took so much time to come!!!
Very slow service...
4.The staff is untrained or maybe is new.
5. I am a pure vegetarian and despite informing the hotel's front desk well in advance I was served non veg food in high tea!!!!
6. Time gap between High Tea and complimentary hotel Sunset cruise is too less. You won't get time to enjoy your high tea...
8. Hotel was next to water metro jetty which was so disturbing. I could listen to loud hooter of ferries and ships right in the middle of the night!!!
Will never go to Brunton Botyard neither will I suggest anyone to go there.
